Author's Response: Thanks, whitehound! Sirius and Tonks were cousins (admittedly second cousins), so that seemed a bit odd. Is there anyplace in Britain that has the reputation that Tennessee and Kentucky do here in the USA?
Not nationally, no, although there are some small rural areas that have that reputation locally I think. First cousins marrying would be illegal afaik. But second cousins marrying wouldn't be particularly remarked on anywhere, and especially not in an aristocratic family. The aristocratic families are all cousins anyway. |

I went away for a few days--and returned to find an update. Nice timing! Well, I was hoping for a bit of trauma free domesticity, but clearly that is not to be. Poor Sarah simply cannot get a break. I love the way you worked in the Tonks-Lupin relationship. Interesting that he was so critical, while she drew hope from it. I am looking forward to the next update. Good luck with your move.
Author's Response: Thanks, Aiden! But you didn't think that Sarah and Severus could manage trauma free domesticity, did you? Stress is the watermark on their marriage license. :~) I uploaded the next chapter today, so keep your eyes peeled! |

I appreciate the bit of back-story on Tonks and Lupin. (I wasn't particularly bothered about the way it was handled in canon, though, because it seemed to me an example of how some -- many? -- of the so-called adult matters go completely over the kids' heads. They don't know what they don't know. I hope that bodes well for Snape ...)
Poor Sarah, left out of the loop, even when it intimately involves her and her child. A very Snape-like thing to do, naturally.
Author's Response: Thanks, Deeble! I'm glad I was able to work in Tonks and Lupin--that bit was very fun to write. I've uploaded the next chapter, so it should be posted before too long (I hope). |

O_O Dude. What's going on . . . *Thinks and breaks her brain* Ow. Loved that chapter. Miriam is classic; love her. Everything was great: the Tonks-Lupin showdown, the odd threat/danger stuff (what is going on in that head of yours anyhow o_O), the Warming Charm (that was awesome, lol). And what's going to happen to Sarah o_o? She just keeps getting jerked around, doesn't she? Pweeze more soon. Need . . . need more . . . must know what's going on . . .
Author's Response: Thanks! I uploaded the next chappie today, so you will get your fix soon. |

Rofl @ hair. That was a great line from Snape n_n Great chappie . . . read it too fast ._. Personally, I was kinda glad that there was no dorm action -- I completely forgot about it until it was mentioned again, to be honest, and I was happy it didn't go through. I was kinda sad that Snape was so hurt, but mad too X( Felt bad for Sarah . . .
Anyhoo! Onto the next chappie!
Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing! I'm glad someone else approves of my decision to keep them out of the dorm. :~) |

Great way to begin the summer hols. Poor Sarah, I can understand her fear of losing Severus, she is just beginning to know him. And I hope that when the baby arrives, they get at least a moment's peace to be a family. Good job as always!
Author's Response: Thanks, Anastasia! They don't seem to get much peace, do they? |

Nice bit of business with Remus and Tonks - of course JK *wanted* it to be sui generis so that Harry could get it wrong and think she fancied Sirius. [She probably knows Sirius far too well to fancy him.]
Author's Response: Thanks, whitehound! Sirius and Tonks were cousins (admittedly second cousins), so that seemed a bit odd. Is there anyplace in Britain that has the reputation that Tennessee and Kentucky do here in the USA? |

Yours is one of my two favorite stories here. Just wonderful.
Author's Response: Wow, warm fuzzy alert! I love new reviewers, and I especially love it when they say nice things like this. Thanks! |

First of all ditto to Mel's comment! Nice twist with Connor, Ver. And sorry, but yes, I still get the giggles when Miriam interupts them. ;)
Author's Response: Thanks! :~) I had to do something with them getting interrupted. I remember when I was first married--I think my dad had radar. At least, he was almost certain to appear on the scene at the most inconvenient moments! :~) |
