I don't see why we should string you up.Now we know that Snape does care for her in some way. At least her Christmas will be a little merrier. It was fun seeing that you managed to work Alan Rickman in, however obliquely. I wonder if witches have EPT, and if Snape brought any along with him?
Author's Response: -chortles- A merrier Christmas? Hmmmm, I wouldn't say that too quickly. |

Nice cliffhanger! You lull us with all the holiday cheer and Sarah's embrace of the familiar, and then he shows up. So...did he bring a poinsettia and a bottle of cabernet merlot? If one shows up unexpectedly for Christmas dinner, it's only polite.
Author's Response: Snape polite? -snorts- The only thing I can imagine him doing to a poinsettia is stripping off the leaves to brew poison with them. :~D |

I'm surprised he didn't think of this before, making her drink Contraceptive Potion after each of their encounters, for instance. Sounds like he trusts her a little more than he'll admit. You hint at jealousy in his response to the "Muggle boyfriend." Overall, though, in this chapter you're showing how reality is intruding on their previously completely insular relationship, and it's looking like it's going to get a lot more interesting for both of them. |

A very sad chapter. People have to mess with their relationship. Though I understand Snape's hesitancy on someone having his child... especially a student. Great job! ~Lisa |

Interesting that Snape didn't get his way and didn't really push the issue. He must be up to something ;) |

Cheers, Verity! Let it be known that I was grumbling about Snape, not at all about your characterization of him or your plotting of the Potterverse. I anxiously await what is to come...er...happen next. |

But I think "little beast" sums up canon Draco quite nicely! I'm looking forward to their Christmas hols, and all I have to say about the last bit is...typical male. If Snape was that worried about her getting pregnant you'd think he'd have used some sort of contraceptive potion (or whatever it is wizard's use) beforehand! I do love the way you have their situation and their workloads dictating the pace of the relationship. It is one of the many aspects of this story that makes it so realistic and refreshing.
Author's Response: There will be explanation of the contraceptive situation in my permutation of the Potterverse a later chapter. Suffice to say, for the moment, that Snape's solution is the one that seems most practical to him. |

I found this fic just this week and I loved it. But I would really want to see their relationship progressing, because rigth now it seems a little... mechanic. They have no feelings for each other (well, Sarah is starting to like him...), the sex isn't great... It makes me wonder why they're together at all.
I was wondering for the past chapters why Snape wasn't thinking about birth control. It seemed a little odd and I'm still finding it odd that only now the thought crossed his mind.
Oh, and I would love to see a jelous Snape! Please!
Author's Response: Hi Gina! It's nice to see a new reviewer! Things are about to start changing very fast. Let's just say that she gave him rather too much to think about over the hols. |

I hope she isn't pregnant, he's like the vast majority of men and doesn't think about birth control until after the fact. It's always the woman's responsibility. He should have protected her from the first, he had access to it that she didn't have. I knew their relationship couldn't possibly be over, otherwise there would be no story left. I hope when she returns after the holidays he will have more concern for her welfare, they both need so desparately for someone to care about them. |
