| How do you know just what to say to make him real and honest and torn to pieces? You are massively talented. I believe that Severus would in Dumbledore and Sarah's company let that sentence be ripped from his heart. | Some sentences really made this chapter for me. The confrontation between Angelina and Sarah for example I thought to be quite funny :-) and of course the small gestures of affection between Sarah and Severus. I'm believe I'm seeing slightly lighter roads ahead, or am I mistaken? Author's Response: Thanks for rewiewing, Fleurke! I had a lot of fun writing the conversation between Sarah and Angelina. And yes, there are slightly lighter roads ahead. Some danger still looms, to be sure, but they are coming out of their worst personal shadows now. | |||

| I'm back with a vengence! Just kidding... I had to play catch up and read the last two chapters. The storyline just gets better and better! | Another powerful chapter. I really liked Angelina's response - it put some perspective on the affair, I think. I also really liked the line: "That must have been some spell, Sarah."
Snape's final line at the end of the chapter was also particularly poignant. Author's Response: Thanks, Aestel! It's fun to fit in occasional glimpses at how this must look to others, because Sarah has been so very fixed on her own perspective. | |||

| Great last line! And a well done conversation between Sarah and Angelina. When Sarah says, "And yes, I did enjoy it. A man doesn’t have to be handsome or nice or...or anything to be worth knowing or...or being with” it's a pointed reminder that Sarah has had a great deal of life expecience thrown into such a short time. How many teenage girls could express a concept like that? Author's Response: Thanks, Floris! Sarah has had to grow up very fast, and she wasn't really "young" to begin with, after all she'd been through with her parents. | |||

| I was hoping for an update this week--and here it is! Terrific chapter. Poor Sarah struggling so hard to explain her attraction to Snape ("I did enjoy it") to the disbelieving, but rather perceptive Angeline and then learning of the murder of her aunt. And poor Snape--his final statement was so filled with pathos.
Please don't make us wait so long to the next chapter when they are finally free of the tensions of life at Hogwarts. I am longing for a glimpse at Domestic! Snape. Author's Response: Thanks, Aiden! Snapes are hard to domesticate, so don't hold your breath too long! ;~) | |||
