| Sycophant Hex Donations |
After researching all of the available options and doing careful consideration, I've decided to go with PitchIn as our donation widget. The funds go right to the dedicated paypal account set up solely for Sycophant Hex.
We are currently in a very good financial place for the site, the bill for 2013 is paid and we've enough in the kitty (if the fees stay the same) to cover 2014 as well. However I've had numerous people requesting that the donation widget be placed back up as they'd like to continue to help ensure that Sycophant Hex has a long, healthy future.
I would like to say to all of you, thank you kindly. Sycophant Hex has always been free to use, and it is because of your generous nature that we are able to continue to support a place where you can find the fan fiction you would like to read for free.
Now, we understand that many users are unable to donate for various reasons, from not having a job, not owning or having a credit or a debit card, or simply not able to afford to put money into a website. Trust me, we've all been there and I know that money is tight, so if you cannot donate, please do not feel badly.
Although any donations made are sincerely appreciated, there is no and will be no rewards to people who donate.
Since this is a donation (not a purchase or exchange), please be aware that your donations will not generate for you any special interests in Sycophant Hex - you will have no say over how we run the site, what stories are posted, or whether or not someone is granted validated author status.
The only thing close to a reward for donating is a very sincere thank you.

Chipin is no longer working as a viable donation website - it closed down officially on March 7th. I've been researching alternatives (since chipin was a free service, and we only had to pay paypal fees). I'm still researching viable options, but once I have something in place, I will let everyone know. I do apologize for this inconvenience. | Spam in the Reviews |
We've had a rash of review spams hitting various stories. If your story has been targeted by these spam reviews, please email the help desk at sh.userhelp at gmail.com. Please include links to the spam review, along with the title of your story and a notation as to which archive your story is on. From there we can go in and delete out the reviews and the account that is spamming everyone.
Unfortunately, as an open forum that anyone can register on, we sometimes are affected by these unscrupulous people.
