| What Severus said was *horrible* but what Ellie did was worse. Basically they both should have thought before they spoke but Ellie went a step further by actually taking action and sending the letter. I would expect her to be more responsible with herself considering she's pregnant. Looking after her baby's safety is more important than getting back at Snape. (And there's no way she should be having sex with a Death Eater when she's pregnant.) As far as keeping herself calm for the baby's sake consider this: my sister-in-law lost both of her parents in a car accident when she was 5 months pregnant. She told me she just put off dealing with it until after she gave birth because she was terrified she would lose the baby if she let it sink in. So it is possible. Author's Response: They are both very irrational at times and have very nasty tempers. Ellie is definitely not thinking clearly and Severus seems more concerned with his spy duties than with the wellfare of his wife and child. The things he asks of her are absolutely ridiculous. A bit of foreshadowing* his requests will come back to haunt him*. | |||

| Oh Severus, you idiot! What a thing to say. I guess it's just a clear example of what a life of constant spying, lying and moral compromise can do to a person that he even *thinks* of it. She should have just told him she'd pretend she didn't hear it. A freebie if you will. Author's Response: Who is worse, Severus for suggesting it or Ellie for agreeing to it? | Very interesting plot. I really like all the twists and turns you put in and I'm amazed at how well you write some of the more gruesome details, I sincerly hope that it comes from being a student of human nature. | Geez, this is a difficult chapter. I think this could cause her to lose the baby. Is the possible information worth it? Nah, Malfoy should get stuffed. Or Severus should show up unexpectedly. Yeah, that'd be good!

This could be considered the fork in the road because from here on out I actully wrote two different versions of the story. Can you believe I was actully angry with myself at some points? | omg. you have a great story here! easily one of my favs... keep it going! and btw i'm dying of curiousity, how did she get pregnant??? was it just a fluke or what?
