I see that other reviewers seem to think the drinker will wake up, but it's the Draught of Living Death; he'll sleep forever. (And it's necessary that he does. Presumably if he woke he could simply command the elves to release him...) |

Creepy and chilling. The last line was like a door into the kid's psyche. I liked that he just did his best to do what his mother asked and ended up with a better solution. Still the last line the numbness and amorality are shades of things to come. Great work. |

I found this on the random generator, and have read it a number of times, and it always horrifies me! Good job on "The Cask of Amontillado" theme. I like how the house-elves came over to the other side. |

Oh, this woudl be a great Halloween story. I'm glad I read it before I saw your own comment about Poe--Poe jumped out and yellled "Cask of Amontillado" about one or two lines before the end. I didn't catch on at all as the story developed. Very nice work. |

Whoa! Remind me not to mess with him, right? Excellent chapter. I loved the way you let this twist just a bit. Brilliant.

Nice tale! I like the implication that Snape was thinking about his own childhood talking to Harry.
Author's Response: Hi el laura! Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it. |
