Reviews for The Kindness Of Women

excellent writing there, A believable Snape, and I love how you used Tonks in this. You could see where it was going, but I don't feel this was a problem. It was a great exploration of Snape's feelings regarding Lilys death.

Author's Response: Thank you so much!

What a lovely story. Both main characters are believable, as are your descriptions of the others, Narcissa and Sirius especially. I shall favorite this. Thank you for writing it.

Author's Response: Thank you so much for the kind words - I'm glad you liked it!

This is so intensely sad yet oddly comforting. I could see the ending coming, but I was hoping throughout that I was wrong. I think your portrayal of Severus is one of the best and truest I've ever read. This pairing was never one I had really considered, but you make it believable and understandable. Just fantastic! Thank you for the great read :)

Author's Response: Thank you so much! This one started out as a genfic about Snape as observer and his detachment from people as a means of doing what needs to be done, but Tonks - who I'd never written before - just forced her way in, plonked herself down, and said, "I've got something to say about this bloke, too, you know!" I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I was just thinking this week that metamorph ability is probably the best explanation for Narcissa's blondeness. I see I wasn't the only one. Interesting ruminations on Tonks. I don't find it at all likely that she spoke to Lily so soon before her death - Lily was in hiding for a year - but I liked the insights.

Author's Response: Thank you!

Another intelligent, well-written peace. Your Severus is spot-on, I think, and your Tonks makes sense as presented, though I wouldn't have thought to write her that way myself. Very well done! Thanks for sharing!

Author's Response: Thank you! This one was written a year ago, and it was my first time writing Tonks. It started out as Severus genfic (especially those themes about not needing validation from others, and his position as an observer). But she just sort of crept in and stole the show on me! But I don't think Severus minds... ;)
