Fantastic! It really bothered me knowing Snape died with all that weight on his shoulders, and this story shows him finally getting the truth he deserved.
Author's Response: Yes, this one was "for" him - I didn't want to make it too easy on him, but at the same time...only good payback here :). Thank you so much for the review! |

Ah, you know I already love it and the changes you made I really do think helped. Thanks for sharing once again. I feel like I expect you to keep turning out works for me to read, but that is totally unreasonable. I will ever be available to read your works, Mith.
Author's Response: Thank you for your kind words, my loyal reader :) I will be sure to let you know the next time I finish something...but it will be awhile, unfortunately. Most things I write aren't this short! |

Most excellent and an interesting twist with him meeting Fabian, who I don't think I've met this side of fan fiction. A real pleasure to read.
Author's Response: Now I wish I knew a good Gideon and Fabian story, to point you in the direction of! But you're right, they don't come up much - probably a bit too old to be contemporaries of the Marauders, and of course killed before *that* Halloween night. But I've always found them intriguing, and I really liked that Harry got his watch. The event they discuss here is a scene in my other, longer, fic....but that is only a brief cameo for him. Sorry! Thank you so much for the review, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. |

What a lovely story. So touching. I almost got teary at the end. I loved the bits with the Marauders and Lily. One of the many tragedies of Snape's death is that Lupin and the other fallen heroes died thinking him a traitor.
Author's Response: I know! It's nice that she's said Harry will do everything he can to exonerate him, but still - that doesn't change the fact that, at the moment he died, *everyone* thought him Voldemort's man. Luckily, Dumbledore seemed very well informed at King's Cross, so I can only hope that the fallen heroes would learn the truth...somehow. Thank you for the review, SamusAran. |

stands alone very well. I really enjoyed your description - especially the part with Sirius and Snape!
Nice job.
Author's Response: Thank you! I hoped my backstory wouldn't need much explanation. Sirius was difficult, so I'm glad you enjoyed that part. |

Very touching, in a perfectly Snape-compliant way.
Author's Response: I felt like I was very gradually uncoiling him, so he didn't feel Snape-compliant...but I'm glad he came across that way! Thanks for the review, Deeble. |

Great story! I would only make one small change. At the end, I think Snape would have said "fortunately", instead of "unfortunately". According to Dumbledore, Harry is more like Lily than James, and I rather doubt Severus has developed a sudden liking for James. Anyway, thanks for writing.
Author's Response: Thank you for the review, EXECUTR! Yes, I struggled with that line. Basically, Snape has decided to offer a compliment to Harry (who is not present), and unless he modifies it in some way, it will be a compliment to James, too. Complimenting James would be too much for him at this stage, I think! So, the "unfortunately" is a slight dig at James, but much more good-natured than the barbs they used to exchange. I'll have to mull over what "fortunately" would do to the line ;). |
