| I have just finished reading the story up to this chapter and had to chime in to say I LOVE IT!!! I am not one who cares for OFC and normally avoid them but it has been my luck to find 2 of them within the past couple weeks that I just really love!! This is a great story and I can't wait till you put more up. I am SO curious to know what Snape will do when he finds that Lucius has her (and I think I know he definitely will find them! LOL) Keep up the excellent work!! It's a true joy reading it! Author's Response: Thank you so very much. I honestly think this story benefitted from having started with a non-romantic OFC challenge. It forced me to develop a solid friendship between the two of them. I also think that for me, having given Aurelia a job as a Healer, it gets it away from the cliche of his love interest being the new DADA professor or an of age student. I am finishing up the next chapter and will force myself to get it to beta today. LOL I of course, need to do some housework first, but that won't take long if I know I can write when I finish up. | |||

| So good to see an update on this amazing story. You have us sitting on pins and needles waiting to see if Severus will figure out where Malfoy has taken her. He is a cunning bastard (although it sounds like he is right about the wizarding world needing his financial backing....although I would have thought they would have confinscated all of his assets and then used them anyway). Great story so far so keep it coming! Author's Response: Thanks, greenwood. I really wish it had not taken this long to get this chapter out, but I think it's worth the wait to get the chapter done right. Isn't Lucius just utterly slimy? As for confiscating his assets, well, he wasn't stupid and would have ensured the Ministry couldn't really get to them. *wink* He always has to have an out, even if it is a little extortion...Now we just have to see how sneaky Severus is. Can he outfox Lucius? | |||

| I dread to think what Lucius would want in return, that man has such cold eyes. At least Severus is looking for her, I just hope it isn't too late. | So, I was right about Lucius being the anonymous donor and the one who kidnapped Aurelia. I hope Severus finds her soon.
The interplay between him and his mother gets better with each chapter. I'm glad you put that twist in the story. He's been reliving his adolescence at a fast pace since he started courting Aurelia, it's good to know he has someone he can go to for advice that he trusts. It's also fun to know that she won't treat him with kid gloves like the rest of the faculty usually does. She is his mother and has his respect, so she is free to tell him what ever she wants to say. I don't think he would lose his temper with her, I think he would keep it under control. Author's Response: How could I not bring Lucius back? LOL And yes, Severus does need to find her soon as Lucius is most definitely up to no good...I'm really glad you enjoy Severus and his mother together. I have really enjoyed their interaction and you are right in that he is finally growing up. And the upside is that she won't put up with his BS or immature behavior like the others might. And the fact she is his mother does keep his temper under control. | |||

| It doesn't surprise me that Malfoy funds a lot of the wizarding world, and it makes sense that his absense would have an effect on the economy of Britian. I hope Snape doesn't give up in looking for her. I have a bad feeling about what Malfoy wants, but I hope Aurelia can get through this ordeal. Please explain more about how she helped Severus and how Malfoy wants her to help him in the next chapter. Of course, I expect she'll refuse him... Author's Response: Thanks, Amanda. I figured someone as rich and powerful as Malfoy had to have his hands in a lot of industry, and his absence would hurt....As for how Aurelia helped Severus, it's the main plot point of "Wounded" (also archived here), so reading that should answer your question about what Malfoy wants from her. :) | |||
