| Now I'm gonna be the first one to review this ficlet... But most likely not the last one. This is just another fic of yours I admire. They are always so well-written, and you always manage to keep the reader's attention till the last second... About this one, I especially liked that you wrote it from Peter's point of view - his thoughts add so much to this. And I guess I'll view the HBP chapter "Spinner's End" in a completely different light now. But I wonder - in HBP, Severus knows that Peter is behind the wall when he speaks to Narcissa and Bellatrix. Has he made a connection between these two events, does he "find out" that Peter has maybe at least heard the incident between Remus and Severus? That I'd like to know... I thought that doing it from Peter's POV would inject a touch of originality into what otherwise might have been an unoriginal scene. I'm glad it worked for you. :) As for Snape knowing in HBP that Peter is behind the wall... yes, I struggled quite a bit with that. In the end, all I can say is that he is aware of the possibility, but he gets caught up in his own emotions, and wants this so badly - if only for a few moments - that he lets it go. | |||
