| I'm a fan of the Harry Potter series. My favourite character is Severus Snape. Complex, intelligent and sexy, he is the tragic hero of the series. I hate how JK Rowling killed him off in Deathly Hallows, and it was what inspired me to write my first ever fanfiction 'Flying With The Raven'. It has taken me over two years from the idea through to completion, as I'm a little perfectionist and keep rewriting sections. I originally wrote it for my own enjoyment only, with no intention to publish it, but then thought I might share it with all those other Snape fans out there. If you read and enjoy it, I would love to hear your views. I'm very excited that Fede88 has offered to translate 'Flying With The Raven' into Italian! I mostly read SS/OC and SS/HG, but occasionally other pieces that catch my attention. I don't like stories that drag on and on without much happening and rarely read anything over 100,000 words unless it is very good. I'm quite forgiving about typos and punctuation errors, but poor style or grammar puts me off straight away, as does OOC. I also like realism and don't fancy time travel, de-aging, obscure family links and vampire stories. About me: I am a thirty-something female. I have a baby boy and can't wait to read the Harry Potter books to him when he is older! I am German and hence not writing in my mother tongue. | |

Flying With The Raven by Herbologist  [Reviews - 4] Dumbledore's time is running out too quickly, and he sends Snape to enlist the help of St. Mungo's Healer, Samara Ravenhood. Together they try to find a potion that will cure the headmaster from the deadly curse afflicting his hand. Despite his initial reservations, and although he would never admit it, the talented Ravenclaw soon starts to grow on Severus. But can she break through his prickly shell, and find a way to his embittered heart? With Severus bound by promises to Lily, to Dumbledore, and to Narcissa, and leading the dangerous life of a double agent, there seems to be no scope for romance. And in the end, when the final battle comes, can she save our beloved Potions Master? Canon compliant. Set during HBP and DH.
