Behind black eyes,
Amidst an ocean of silence,
Scattered and lonely
They lie, like islands.
Feelings,
Sunk into oblivion.
Once,
You let me catch a glance,
When a blue moon shone.
Whole continents
Behind dark, silent waters.
Feelings long gone.
Behind this ocean
of silence they lie,
Their shores are far
Yet seem so nigh.
Still they lie undiscovered.
Once,
You let me get so close
But the waves reared up,
And around me they rose
Like towering walls of silence.
Crashing, smashing, tumbling down
Dragging me with them
Helpless I drown
In this ocean of silence.
