Interesting idea....bit how could severus be near querill all year?

Nice touch, having them both feel their Dark Marks tingle. It really does show no excuse for Lucius not searching for his Dark Lord that year. I wonder if Severus was an unwilling player of "Hot/Cold" all school year. Thanks for sharing!

Author's Response: Thanks for your review! I think Lucius is no more keen for Voldemort to return than Severus... although he wants to make sure he is in his good books when he does!

This is a really nice parallel to the way that Harry experienced being in the company of Quirrell, only Harry of course, blamed Severus for the unpleasant sensations. I can really imagine this encounter taking place.

Author's Response: Thanks so much hexgirl!

Interesting that Severus seems very aware of his future & the fine line he will soon to be treading ... I think this is a very realistic take on how it would have been. I also like your characterisation of Lucius Malfoy (not one of my most favourite characters but so beautifully played in the films by Jason Issacs of course.) I'd like to see more of this to be honest - it's a good 'back story'. :-)

Author's Response: Thanks so much, sevvy! I'm glad you like this little backstory glimpse. I think I'll leave it here, as I have too many projects already, but I might pick up the thread in Avada Kedavra...
