A woman in this situation would have been told by other female students to stop bragging, while among the mostly-masculine staff, there would have been a sense that she was asking for it and therefore open to *their* advances, too. Author's Response: Well, in that time, even Muggle women tended to be on their own in such situations, but that is no longer the case, I hope. There's got to be someone at the school or the office or the employment commision that can help. I hated to just leave it there without pointing that out. Anyway, thank you for the reviews!
