Reviews for Just When You Thought the Worst Was Over...

"She’d ruthlessly forced any such thoughts away and instead had forged her anger into shining armour which she’d donned each day to oppose him with a feeling of righteousness. Guilt was a bitter pill, and she felt the burn as it slid down her throat to lodge in the pit of her stomach." This is excellent writing. The first sentence is a perfect depiction of the Gryffindor mindset: the self-righteousness, the certainty of being right, the ruthlessness, all described in martial terms, no less (shining armor). Well done! At least she has the decency to admit when she's wrong, though, which is something we see no other member of that house do in canon.

Author's Response: To be fair, you don't see very many people from any house admitting they were wrong. Most Slytherins aren't any better at it than Gryffindors. If any group would be apt to admit to mistakes and try to fix them, it would probably be the Hufflepuffs. :D
