Reviews for Just When You Thought the Worst Was Over...

Like you, II have always thought that Snape would have prepared himself against the possibility of having Nagini set upon him. He was a double agent, he taught two of the most dangerous subjects in a wizarding school--of course he did his best to prepare himself for as many particulars as he could. I do feel sorry for Lupin, here. I look forward to seeing how you'll handle his situation. Good chapter.

Author's Response: I understand why Rowling didn't have Severus prepare to be betrayed by Voldemort and attacked by the snake, but it didn't seem realistic to me given his status as a spy. Thanks! :D

"The Dark Lord was loyal to no one but himself. Sooner or later all his followers became his victims as he single-mindedly pursued his own personal desires and goals." Thank you for writing that. With those two sentences alone, you gave a more accurate portrayal of of the kind of person Voldemort was than all of JKR's blather. Of course somebody like Snape, who was supposed to be really smart, would have taken his boss's ruthlessness into consideration and guarded against it. It's ridiculously contrived to suggest anything else. Of course, "ridiculously contrived" is a good way to sum of all of DH.

Author's Response: Voldemort was totally self-absorbed and as ruthless as they come. Anyone serving such a person would have to be an idiot to believe they could truly trust them...Snape's no idiot. :D
