Oh ho ho, quite interesting indeed. I suspect the book that the Death Eaters have been looking for might be located somewhere within that collection. I'd also like to tell you that last night I had a dream about an evil magical book with dark secrets in it, and I was called upon to find the book and keep it out of some dangerous hands. When I woke up, I thought 'Why would I dream something like that? I normally dream about all you can eat buffets, Ruben sandwiches, closets full of shoes, winning the lottery, and being hit on by Brad Pitt!" I could only imagine this story must have inspired it! So congrats on writing a story so compelling it seeps into the subconscious!
Author's Response: I'm blushing. Those are high compliments indeed. You might be interested to know that this story was actually inspired by a dream I had during the summer. It went something like the first chapter and I developed the rest of it from there. |

You mean they are going to get married in a shop? Severus isn't very romantic is he? Hehe.
Author's Response: Hehe. You'll have to wait and see. He might redeem himself in the end. =P |

I love the way you write Severus; I'm very particular that he should be written properly, and you do a very good job! Charming chapter
Author's Response: Thank you so much. I adore Snape's eloquence and tried my best to capture something of it in this story. |

Oh this chapter is funny. "He cringed at the thought of a bubbly Adoxa bounding around Spinner's End, calling him 'Sevy' and dotting her 'i's' with hearts." So did I! I laughed out loud at the mental image! I also enjoyed Flourish Sr's letter. I liked that he put "Good, there we are then." as though Snape had actually answered in agreement to his suggestion. Flourish Jr sounds like my own dad - not worth knowing. Hope Snape takes the advice and doesn't push it. Happy baby Snape was probably so cute! Ta ta until I read the next chapter!
Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed it. I've always loved the idea of the Flourish and Blotts store and really wanted to incorporate it into this story. I can't attribute Flourish Jr's nastiness to any one man in particular but I agree with you, Adoxa is probably better off without him in her life. |

Oh, now this is truly interesting indeed. Where did that key come from, whose is it, is it really her grandfather's, how would she ever have found it without Snape, what does it open, how did it survive the fire, and (insert 1 million other questions here)? Unfortunately for me I am very tired tonight and can only read one chapter. So I will find out tomorrow morning what happens in the next chapter. As for the previous chapter, I wouldn't say it ruins a good read, it is shocking but not so much so that I personally could not get over it. I am a writer myself so I understand what it's like to have a certain scene in a story that doesn't go over the way I had intended, or the way the readers would have liked. In those cases, if I feel very strongly about it, I keep it. If I don't feel very strongly about it, I change it. It's a struggle we all go through, I think. We want to write what we like, but we also want what we write to be what readers like (or expect), too. Sometimes you compromise to please both sides, and sometimes you can't. Either way, I love your writing and am enjoying your story immensely. I'm so sleepy right now I'm probably not making any sense. So I hope that you can get something intelligible and encouraging out of this message. lol
Author's Response: Thank you. I think that's some very good advice and I'll keep it in mind. This is my first time doing something like this so I definitely have a lot to learn. Everything I've written before has been really short and for my eyes only or for a pretty insular group of real life and WoW friends. |

Wow, I hate to be like everybody else left the same kind of review but that was nothing like Dumbledore at all. Even if there is a point to having him behave that way it definitely does not true to character. It would be like making Harry Potter evil. I mean, maybe in some stories people have done that, artistic license and all, but it's just… Hard to swallow.
Author's Response: I'm noticing a trend ... =P My previous statement stands but I might consider toning him down somewhat if there is a general consensus that this chapter spoils an otherwise enjoyable read. |

She's a strong woman. I like that.
Author's Response: I didn't want to put too much fire in her gizzard, but I didn't want her to be a doormat either. Hoping that I settled on a good compromise. |
