I think both Snape and Morgaine both know the answer to their question of how they can remain together, but are both understandably too scared to voice it. But yet it seems there is no other way forwards for them...

Author's Response: I think they are both hoping that there is another way. But for now, taking the direction you and me are both thinking of, seems selfish as it would mean leaving Demeter behind. (I'm sending the Muse to you now, as I have no use for her at work. May I borrow her later?)

"But they needed neither words or Legilimency to know that they were both pondering the same question, the question of how they would ever be able to fulfil their most dire wish: to be at each other’s side. Forever. " Well, I am really really loking forward to reading how you will answer to this question. Did I mention that I love this story? ;)

Author's Response: Thank you for your kind words, memory. You know how much these characters mean to me. I am very glad that you enjoy their story. As to the answer to your/their question: I think Severus and Morgaine both know the answer but for the time being, the solution seems to selfish and neither of them dares suggesting it. After all, they have their child to think of still.

Love knows no bounds, its inspiration is limitless, its warmth transcends space and time. If they indeed have both chosen to stay together in some respects, then Morgaine should at least allow herself to have enough close friends where she can have some normalcy with people on earth like she is. I don't think there's anything wrong with coming home to Severus, but she's going to need to rectify things in her mind and soul - if that's going to be enough for her. I don't think it's selfish at all if Morgaine should choose to spend her days single and without sexual relationships - if that is what she so chooses - but Severus at the same time, should not feel guilty or feel that he is holding her back if she can sort it out that it works for her. What works for one person doesn't mean it works for another. We all have our ways of coping and living after the death of a loved one and Morgaine is no different.

Author's Response: That is their problem, isn't it, that neither Morgaine nor Severus can decide if they want to let go or keep hanging onto each other. They know that they need each other, and they know that need to life their own lives (the latter goes especially for Morgaine, of course). Time will tell which need is greater.

One of the most painful lessons of history is how easily it can repeat itself. You have me so ensnared with this tale - and I can well relate to your earlier response that it has a mind of its own. Sometimes all a writer can do is endeavor to keep up and hang on for the ride !!! More soon, please....

Author's Response: More soon, please? No pressure there, eh? ;-) Working on it, I promise.
