I absolutely LOVED the third from last paragraph, especially this part: "Ginevra Potter took after her mother in her eagerness to squeeze out filthy, mewling urchins." I LOL'd when I read that. It sounds so Snapish. "Filthy, mewling urchins" is such a great phrase.
Author's Response: I'm glad I made you LOL. I can almost see Snape wrinkling his not insubstantial nose at the thought. :) |

So much for the glories of magic. Ginny sounds like a typical angst-ridden, guilty mother, with a neglectful husband and not enough hours in the day. You told us more about her in this one chapter than JKR does in all of canon. Thanks!
Author's Response: JKR seemed to make her characters breed at a young age without considering the strain that can bring... not everyone is an automatically good parent and it takes a lot of work... |

This is well thought out and plausible. I look forward to continuing with it.

I truly enjoyed this story. Quite frankly, I do NOT like SS/HG stories; I can never really picture those two working as a couple. My lady of choice for Snape is always (an adult) Ginny, so I was delighted to see that here. As for glamorizing marital infidelity, that definitely did not happen. It was clear to this reader, at least, that all three parties agonized at some point over the breakdown of Ginny’s marriage and the subsequent “affair”. The reasons for both were well-developed and perfectly logical. Thank you for this wonderful tale, and for giving it a happy ending!
Author's Response: Thank you for reading, and leaving such a thoughtful, detailed review. I'm thrilled you enjoyed the story, that you thought I handled the break-up sensitively and that you enjoyed the happy ending :) |

Thank you for this ending-- it gave me a warm feeling of contentment and peace: Harry and Cho soooo belong together, and their little baby girl made me all gushy--see what you've done to my thick snakeskin facade - lol! And, of course,, I love Ginny and Severus-- all is well indeed! And thank you for adding on and contributing to the pairing with such intriguing skill, craft and love! xxx
Author's Response: I'm so pleased you enjoyed the ending. Thanks for all your support and encouragement, it means a lot! xxx |

Yes, what irony between Harry and Ginny--their getting along better and even more honestly after the divorce... such is life... It was a nice acceptance and arrangement, with time, for all--love Severus slowly adapting and adjusting as well as Ginny and children--love Albus and Sev connecting on some level--thank you for that!
Author's Response: Thanks nag, glad you enjoyed this chapter. |

Wonderful courtroom drama, so painful, real and fair as the honesty (except for the clever, irresistible Snape-disguised-as-Alfric facade) of each one and what they have been through just wrings one's heart-- beautiful work--one feels for each side--can't wait to see how the children will fare from this outcome! xxx
Author's Response: Yes, the road is rocky but we're near the end now! Thanks, as always, for your support.xxx |
