Reviews for A Second Chance For Happiness

Eleni 2010.07.19 - 02:47PM 8: Chapter 8 - Heartache At The Hospital Signed
well, now is all her frustrations out in the open, poor Harry he is not the only one to blame. It takes two to make a marriage to work but i seems like they never talked about it, and Harry was not aware something was wrong, very male, but i feel she is to blame alittle also. Now we are waiting for our Severus

Author's Response: Yes, they are both to blame. Harry for not seeing what was infront of his nose, and Ginny, for repressing her true nature. The dark one is on his way, I promise!

I love how this story is developing, I can't wait to see how Ginny and Harry interact in the next chapter, and whether she confronts him about the fact it might have been him who has made their little boy ill...I want to see her fire and passion reignited, and I think it's about time Harry started paying her the sort of attention she deserves! Looking forward to Chapter Eight.

Author's Response: Thanks sweetie, Ginny has definitely lost some of her spark but her red-headed fiestiness will be back with a vengeance soon! Thanks for sticking with it xx

Oh! forgot to say, I love the title of the chapter - very funny!

Author's Response: Hehe, can't resist a pun :)

Ginny's reaction, though irrational is understandable. It is often the first thing we do in times of stress: look for someone or something to blame - it's a way of making sense of the traumatic experience. I certainly sense troubled times ahead for Ginny and Harry. Wizards are so lucky - imagine being able to floo straight to hospital, it certainly beats dialling 999. Keep em coming - we await the next instalment.

Author's Response: Ginny's been stressed out for so long that it's got to come out somewhere. Thanks for reading, miss :)

I think the Boy Who Lived Twice might just be torn to pieces by a distraught mother. Go, Ginny! ;-) Sorry, silly time over. Harry could of course be the one who carried home the disease. Could, but doesn't have to. But I can understand Ginny's thoughts. Now, is it soon time for a Knight in shining (black) armour?

Author's Response: We'll get to see Harry's thoughts in the next chapter too. And yes, poor Ginny is on a knife edge. Having to suppress her fiesty nature is no good for her. Our knight, our black prince, is on his way! Thanks for reading x

No it's not Harry's fault and it's irrational to blame him, but a distraught mother with a child who is possibly mortally ill can't think rationally. I'm sure Harry will realize that he is probably the one who brought the virus into his home, though it could have been exposure to Arthur, or Ron, or maybe Percy that caused it. It could even be Molly who is a carrier after picking it up from her husband or her sons. Anyway, once Harry realizes it could be him that exposed Al to the virus I'm sure he'll suffer a lot of guilt.

Author's Response: Yes, the pressure is starting to build for Ginny and this is kind of the final straw for her. She's had so much resentment building inside her from having to cope with being a working mother that her feelings have to come out somewhere. As for Harry, we'll hear from him in the next chapter. Thanks for your support as ever.

oh my, poor Ginny and poor little Albus Severus. I hope the big Severus can come up with a cure.

Author's Response: I know I am being very mean to little Al right now. Thanks for reading, hope you'll stick with it.

I thought you did a great job with Hagrid's dialogue and his characterisation. It felt like a very convincing interchange between him and McGonagall. I hope little Albus Severus is going to be ok. Get scribbling, Missis.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! Hagrid is lots of fun to write. I am literally typing away as I speak right now. I'm hoping to get 7 done and dusted before I head to Sweden. And yes, I WILL be looking for Crumple-Horned Snorkacks :)

It reminds me of the swine flu panic we had here last fall. there were public service messages all over TV and in the newspapers telling you to get a swine flu vaccine shot, but there was no vaccine to be had. Whenever any became available it was used up before you could get an appointment to get a shot. My doctor kept on me to get the shot, but I wasn't able to get it until the medical center got it in just after Christmas.

Author's Response: As Minerva said, prevention is better than cure. Times are going to get tough for Ginny and her family now.

Augurey flu sound like a combo of West Nile virus and swime flu. They can't be too careful with something like that.

Author's Response: Especially after the Nogtail Flu disaster not so long ago...
