She does have a tragic past. She must feel as though she can never get a break. I like the way she thinks on her feet while talking to Flitwick.
Author's Response: Thank you Rose for reading and the review! Thank your for your continued feedback; Flitwick caught her off-guard, and she wants to seem 'all right', hoping to cover and move on from the past - thanks again! xxx |

Very good story! I look forward to seeing how she fits into Ravenclaw and how Abraxes takes it and does about it. I wonder what the "girls" tasks will be. Excellent read! I can't wait for the next update.
Author's Response: uthor's Response: Thank you so much for reading and your generous review! Really appreciate your interest and specific feedback!:-) More of Abraxas soon and his meddling, as he has his own agenda for her....as well as more of Nagini trying to fit into Ravenclaw in spite of all the looming Slytherin forces to interfere - again, thank you so much for reading, so happy you're enjoying the read! xx |

I like that she's got a place to go, now, but I'm worried that every time Lucius is his usual self, Belby will find an excuse to blame her. Still, she's got friends now. That's got to be a good thing.
Author's Response: Oh, Rose, thank you for the read & the lovely feedback - really appreciate it! You've hit the nail on the head, of course - leave it Lucius to wish his interests at the cost of others. Yes, Nagini has friends, now! Definitely good! :-) Thank you again! |

I'm pleased Nagini is in the safe haven of Ravenclaw, even if Marcus Belby is a prat!
Author's Response: Oh star_girl, thank you for the read & feedback! Nagini is very happy to be in Ravenclaw too! Yeah, what to do about a pompous prat? Hmm... Thank you for all of your support !:-) |

Oh poor Nagini, she doesn't get a break - I was willing her not to put that ring on. What a hateful situation she is forced into. I hope she gets some respite at Hogwarts.
There are some demonstrations of real malevolence from the Malfoys throughout your story, and Abraxas shows his love of weilding power when he let Nagini think she was being sent to Hogwarts without a wand, how awful. Abraxas and Qualmsick really remind of a couple of characters from The Forsyte Saga, only much, much darker and scarier.
Great chapter as always.
Author's Response: Hexgirl, thank you so much for the read & review! She will get some respite at Hogwarts, finally! Thank you for your commentary about the Malfoys/Abraxas - yes, he & Qualmsick absolutely relish the power they yield & wield; sometimes its the 'little' things and comments that can be just as cruel & harmful as other obvious actions/words - he enjoys wielding all... Thank you for the Forsyte Saga reference - I'm not familiar with it, although it rings a bell for some reason - will put it on the list! I still have the other novel you recommended to read *lowers head in shame*. Thank you again for your feedback - greatly appreciated!xxx |

oh, poor Nagini, she is in for an awful year ( if she is allowed a year), it will not sit well with Lucius and Abrahax and the other Slytherins I think. Hopefully whe will have some good time with the Lovegoods
Author's Response: Eleni, thank you for your continuing support and feedback - really appreciate it! Yes, she'll have an intense term on many levels - your Clairvoyancy is spot on ;-D - it will not sit well with the Slytherins; the Lovegoods will definitely take her under their wings and try to help where & how they can! Again, thank you so much for reading & the feedback - it helps me know that what I wanted to convey is coming across! Thanks! |

Oh, what a day! I can only imagine what the Dark Lord wants of her, and of course so many people want to just tear her to pieces. Severus is determined not to make any of it his own problem, but he can't seem to help being there when things go bad. It looks like she's going to find some friends in Ravenclaw, at least.
Author's Response: Oh, Rose, thank you so much for continuing to read & reviewing! Yes, Severus is always there:-)... how can he not be? - hehe! Yes, Hibiscus & Xeno will definitely take her under their wings for as long as they can, and Voldy's influence on his selected group will flare up how it can - thank you so much for the feedback! |

Oh my goodness that was an amazing chapter. From the flesh-crawling conversation with Lester Qualmsick to her terrible ordeal with Abraxas then finally to the healing strength and powers of Severus... what a roller coaster ride.
I can almost taste the corruption and malice in the air, everything surrounding the Malfoys is tainted and artificial.
I was amazed when she transformed into her animagus form, now I understand the Nagini connection.
The dialogue is wonderful, the characterisation spot on: Severus as a young man is so believable. his uncertainty, tempered with his desires and self-belief coupled with his fear of Voldemort.
Good job, Nag. Is it Hogwarts next then? And Lily? What will she be like? I can't wait to see what you do with her and Sev.
Author's Response: Oh hexgirl, thank you so much for the lovely, detailed review - thanks for continuing to read! Yes, it took me a long (and wordy) time to set up/get to the animagus point - things just kept occurring in between it. Thank you so much for all the affirmation - in particular regarding Severus as a young man and this scenario/portrayal of him being believable. Yes, finally Hogwarts:-) ! Some relief for Nag but for Sev - his long awaited meeting with Lily will definitely spur on the bitter, pained Sev that we all know & love & wish to comfort... hehe... thank you again! |
