Reviews for In His Name

Sev4ever 2010.02.17 - 11:18PM 7: Chapter Seven: An Offering of Sand Signed
They seem determined as ever to help him and good for Minerva telling that bitch of a fairy person off! EVERYONE deserves help no matter what they have done...it's the humane thing to do!

Author's Response: As she said, our good fairy was fully aware of Severus' worthiness - but she was putting Minerva and Hagrid to the test with her cruel words - to discover whether they were truly committed to the task of Secret Keeper. If they had faltered in their resolve, even a little, she'd have known they were not the right ones to fight for him.

The Gallant Gryffindor 2009.12.02 - 09:06PM 7: Chapter Seven: An Offering of Sand Signed
Ohhhh....that ceremony was just wonderfully written! So realistic, like I was standing right there! Is Severus reaping what he has sown?...Probably but then so much of his life I feel that he was a victim of circumstance (born into poverty with those horrid parents, being bullied by those damed Marauders, Lily rejecting him...poor fellow) so it's not totally his fault and besides what would this world be like if we all got what we deserved? I think a greater lesson can be learned by Severus by showing him mercy, compassion and friendship. OMG what an excitng ending to that chapter!!!! I certainly hope that the next one will be up soon because believe it or not this is just getting better and better! I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT!!!!

Author's Response: Gallant !!! You have no idea what a joy it was to take a moment to check my personal emails from my office (I'm working very late tonight editing a performance program)and hurrah :)there were not one but THREE REVIEWS from you !!! I am giddy with delight !!! That fairy had a bit of a Slytherin steak didn't she, testing the loyalty and commitment of the Secret Keepers ?? If they were unable to withstand her "angry" challenge and her pretended indifference to Severus' suffering, she knew they would not be strong enough to do what's needed. They have proved their devotion to the task and now she is pleased to entrust them with the crystals. So glad you enjoyed these recent chapters and YES !!! I am working on the next.

Two words: simply amazing! Your attention to detail and beautiful descriptions make envisioning this chapter so easy! It's as clear as though we stood there next to them and witnessed this ceremony. Now the journey begins in a more direct way and I can not wait to see what is going to happen. You have me totally ensnared! Please don't leave us on the edge of our seats too long! Awesome update!

Author's Response: Phew..... working.....honest, I am - but I can't quite convince my two employers that they should just give me six months paid leave and let me WRITE !!! My heart is just HAPPY to know there are some of you who love the story so much !!! Thank you!!!

So what is written on that parchment that Draco holds and is there some kind of link between draco and the Ol dragon(I just love Hagrid's discription of him). I hope that the third secret keeper wears the crystal vial out of love for him and not because of a debt owed. thanks for another wonderful chapter.

Author's Response: Hello there !!! Happy to see you !! Indeed, it will be most interesting to find out what's written there..... who wrote it and why....

Okay, that last chapter was so good I am going to have to read this one too! LOL I was going to save it to enjoy later but I can't! Gallant is going to be so mad that I know what happened before she does! She has been working 60+ hours a week but will review as soon as she finds the time. She wanted me to assure you she has not abandoned your story! Again, I am amazed at your way with words. The beginning descriptions are pure poetry! All I have to do is close my eyes and I can easily envision every detail! That faery certainly was judgmental and Minerva's sharp response was going through my mind as well! But they have proven themselves worth to be Sev's secret keepers and that is what matters. That was amazing and I can't tell you how excited I am to see your next update!! Please don't make me wait too long! Huggles! Chelsea

Author's Response: I expect Cliodna already knew what a tough witch she was challenging - but wanted to be absolutely sure Minerva and Hagrid were ready to take on such a weight. If they had waivered, even in the slightest, she'd not have given them the responsiblity of either the Secrets or the Essences. Many blessings, and many thanks for such a lovely review !!!

Beautiful, magical and so imaginative! I'm waiting on tenterhooks to see who becomes the Third Keeper- Draco or the unknown Lady...keep up your excellent writing! :-)

Author's Response: Thank you so much... we're all waiting aren't we? Even me...

As always, wonderful. I often find it difficult to read something with so much imagery but yours are so lovingly written I am drawn in instead of discouraged. It is the best fiction in the fan fic universe by far than any I have read before.

Author's Response: *Blushes with humble thanks* I'm so happy you've given my style of writing a chance and I'm delighted it is enchanting you. For me, language is much like a potion... it must be carefully blended and coaxed gently into its completion.

You write with such a lyrical style and with such mysticism that I can't help but be drawn in even deeper. I gather that Delyth Morgan is the third keeper, though no0ne of us know who she is yet. I am puzzled by the appearance of Draco. I don't believe he is the third keeper, I think he is more of a seeker, he is seeking Severus for his own absolution.

Author's Response: Thank you for being here still, dear reader. Who indeed is the strong and steady Delyth, and what new demons plague young Draco?

Rose of the West 2009.11.09 - 10:07PM 7: Chapter Seven: An Offering of Sand Signed
Brilliant images, as always. I loved the birds in all their roles and the way they used so much in sealing the spell. I was a little amused by how coy the fairy was, and then it turned out that she was already protecting him by holding the vials.

Author's Response: Fairies are not easitly deceived and she did want to assure herself that they were sincere in their intent. Blessings to you for your kind review !!

Honestly, I do not know what to say. Both your story and words leave me entirely bereft of speech! I thank you for this heart rending tale of our dearly loved Severus. Thank you for Minerva and Hagrid. ( Yes, I know you didn't create the characters, but you have given them life, something very lacking in the original). Are we to get Draco as a real person to now? If so I cannot wait!

Author's Response: I am touched to have left you speechless... thank you! I do find Draco an intriguing young man as well, again not simply the arrogant prat JK made him... so, yes I shall enjoy discovering more of his story...
