Reviews for To Dance by the Light of the Moon

Titaniafey 2009.11.14 - 06:27PM 4: Chapter Four Signed
Loved Luna asking Minerva to move along, and Severus moving the rest of the table instead. Reminded me of a row of skittles falling against one another until poor Sybil fell off the end. Excellent stuff.

Author's Response: Thanks so much, Titaniafey. Glad you've come for the ride. Poor Sybill does seem to get the short end, doesn't she? Thanks again. Scaranda

I love the way Severus is already springing to Luna's defence, probably without even realsing it. I love the staff diagnoses too. More soon please!

Author's Response: Thanks, Steelyblue. I don't think he does quite realise it yet, and if he does, it's not something he'd admit to...not just yet. Thanks again. Scaranda

Burying the nifflers and burying a bit of past history to start anew?

Author's Response: Thanks Pitt. Let's just see if he can make a better job of things this time around. Scar

I see you're a St. Trinian's fan too. Don't let the bastards grind you down, that's my motto too. I wonder which school would come out on top in a St. Trinian's-Hogwarts faceoff. I'd put my money on the St. trinian's girls, even though they have no magic. I knew that first one, but I had no idea of what Luna said in reply until I read your author's note. I loved the audacity of Luna telling minerva to 'Move along, please. Minerva seems to know that Severus will handle whatever problems Luna's eccentricities bring along, so she's not going to get upset and not going to involve the rest of the staff. Lupin seems to be keeping himself occupied in an enjoyable way. Is he married to Tonks in this story?

Author's Response: Thanks, Trickie Woo. Minerva sees all, or at least she thinks she does, but not in the oh-so-annoyingly interfering way that D'bore did, whose eccentricities I always thought were too contrived. She's much more subtle, and much more fun too (it's a woman thing). As to Lupin, well, let's just keep an eye on Lupin, shall we? Thanks again. Scaranda.

Rose of the West 2009.11.07 - 08:20PM 4: Chapter Four Signed
I had to laugh at the way the two genders were watching and trying to figure out what was going on, as if they could affect it at all. Snape, meanwhile, is starting to resemble Dorothy Sayers's Lord Wimsey. He's always been good at prevarication, but his ability to dissemble is growing.

Author's Response: Thanks Rose. I love the parallel you've drawn between Severus and Lord Peter Wimsey. It's not one that occurred to me, but I see where you're coming from. Thanks so much again for commenting. Scar.
