Reviews for The Tower Affair

I wonder who is trying to seduce whom. And good for Remus to remember the portraits.

Author's Response: Oh, yes, they're trying to seduce each other, one to get information and one to withhold it. but it's getting more complicated. Of course someone needs to remember the portraits. They're some of my favorite characters, LOL. Thank you, again!

How very pureblood, to hold a game in order to mingle the bachelors and maidens. And raise money for charity, of course. *wink wink*

Author's Response: I had a lot of fun with that chapter, trying to immagine the Pure-blood version of a polo match. These Death Eaters are a spiffy lot, as though they were cast by the original Hollywood Rat Pack. They need to meet their spouses somehow, since they wouldn't condescend to what the normal witches and wizards do. ;) Thanks for the review!

So, Kate understands muggles better than we thought. I wonder if her situation was similar to Snape's in the abuse department.

Author's Response: She does understand a great many things in the life of Severus Snape. You may be on to something with the abuse. Thanks, again!

You've got me interested. This woman seems kind of like a bitch, but first impressions aren't always right, lol. And the kiss..she knew he was there.

Author's Response: I'm so tickled that you're reading my little story. She can be a bit of a bitch. One doesn't get far in her line of work by being sweet. She did, indeed, know where he is. Thanks for the review!

I apologize! I forgot to leave a comment when I read this a long time back. Sorry! I haven't been over on this site for quite awhile. At anyrate, I loved the story. It was clever and witty and just a lot of fun to read. Loved the ending, too. You write very well.

Author's Response: Thank you! I have a feeling that this is the best thing I've ever written. I'm glad when others enjoy it, too.

Ah, what a great end. A very credible way of making Severus survive, too. This is a really unique story, one of the best ones I have read. Thanks so much for writing it!

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for all the lovely reviews!

I wonder what dark secrets her past holds. Can she not have babies? How sad...

Author's Response: She has her own sad story to recover from, just as he does. Thanks!

Perfect chapter. I love how she is slowly piecing things together. She is finding that he is on the side of the light, but that is the most dangerous to him.

Author's Response: The trickiest part of this story was trying to let her figure things out but not with anything that wasn't readily available. Thanks!

I'm totally hooked on this story now, I'll have to make a late night of it. :-)

Author's Response: Thank you, I hope you made up your sleep!

I feel reminded of "The Thomas Crown Affair". Was that the inspiration by any chance? It's one of my all-time favourites. Great chapter, so we see a very sexy side of Snape here that is not at all like the dour Potions Master of the classroom.

Author's Response: Yes, I was watching a preview for that movie on TV a year ago and thought it would be a great setting for a fic about Deathly Hallows. I've always been intrigued by the stories written before HBP, where Snape is a pureblood and has an endless supply of money. The idea of giving Snape the money and staying reasonably true to canon was interesting. Thanks, again!
