Reviews for A Fine Divide

Another good chapter. I think you're better with the changing points of view when they are separated by scenes, rather than switching back and forth within one scene. The writing is still quite good, of course, but it's generally at least a bit disconcerting when the reader has to figure out from the context whose point of view it is. Every time the reader has to do it, it pulls the reader back out of the story, breaking, just a tiny bit, that suspension of disbelief one gets when totally immersed in the story. Great story. I'm very interested to see where you go with it.

Author's Response: I shall keep that in mind--the startling shift in POV. Thank you for highlighting the problem and the reasoning; I shall work on it. :) Always good to have good reviews! Thank you.

Another good chapter. I like the tension of giving Snape several things that tie him to the Ministry authorities and their control. You've created an original and believable situation there. Neville as well is engaged in a very believable endeavor and his character, post-DH, makes sense. The resulting tension between the two is going quite well -- very satisfying!

Author's Response: Thank you again. I'm glad that it's coming across as believable and satisfying. Thanks for the in-depth review.

This is well written. I'm surprised you don't have any reviews yet, even though it's rare to see a Snape and Neville story. I like what we're getting to see of Neville and his own struggles to deal with the war.

Author's Response: Thank you for the compliment. If I knew what would prompt reviews, then I'd use it mercilessly, but as I don't, I'm content to write because I quite enjoy the learning curve that it has put me on. Thank you for the review.

Author's Response: Ooops! I sent it twice! Sorry.

Lovely start, can't wait to see where you take this!

Author's Response: Thank you for the review. I have five chapters done so far, and I will post them now (two at a time) the first one has been accepted by the admins.
