Much of this chapter was like the kind of movies I love, especially the banter between them when he returned the next morning. Next time I go to New York it will be warmer and, hopefully drier, weather and I definitely plan to take one of the carriage rides through Central Park. This chapter reminded me so much of all the romantic comedies of the '40's & '50s that were set in New York, with Doris Day, or Ginger Rogers, or Irene Dunne as the virginal leading lady and Cary Grant (a real favorite of mine and not really so far from Snape as you may think), Rock Hudson, or maybe David Niven (there actually was one with him and Ginger Rogers called 'Bachekor Mother') as the man interested in relieving them of that burden. Wasn't Rock Hudson's career ironic? Anyway, why didn't he stay with her instead of a hotel? Have they consummated their relationship yet, or are they really that old fashioned? I'm glad to see he has decided to get away from Dumbledore, I hope the old SOB doesn't try to interfere with his plans. I'm looking forward to a wedding sometime soon.
Author's Response: I'm that old fashioned, actually. I'm not sure about them. ;) Thanks so much for your comments, they were really sweet. Rock Hudson... yeah, very ironic. So many of the good looking ones are gay. (I'm not including Dumbledore in that statement.) Bah hah hah! Dumbledore won't have much say. Severus can and will do what he wants. A wedding will be nice, but life's not smooth sailing yet. Dun dun dun dun! |

Very fluffy and enjoyable! I liked the little plans they made and the way they mingled with enjoying their togetherness.
Author's Response: They deserve this, don't they? They've been through so much! |
