I've read this all in one go so i apologise for not reviewing every chapter but it's a great fic and i'm really enjoying it. I especially liked Narcissa divorcing Lucius and getting it on with poor Sev, hehe. Please update soon.
Author's Response: Hi there! Wow, all in one go? I'm honoured. And, of course, I am very glad that you are enjoying my little story. The second last chapter is in the queue, and the last one will be posted shortly. /M |

This was a very different chapter! I think SS should be employed to take the sex education classes in the UK seeing as we have the highest teenage pregnancy rate in Europe! I'm sure his approach would be appreciated! Not sure how I would have coped in Eydis' shoes though, with her father taking that class! It's so hard being a parent and trying to get things right. It's clear Severus is trying really hard and it's great that Eydis feels she can confide in him/seek advice (most teenage girls would run a mile rather than do that I suspect!) I was fascinated by your end chapter notes about the various herbs; I've got a diploma in herbalism (for what good it does me!) but have never heard of any of the remedies you mention - interesting! :-)
Author's Response: Different indeed. I felt that everyone involved (characters, readers, author!) needed a giggle or two. Glad I could impress a herbalist. I have to thank my grandmother for that knowledge. (There's a witch in the family ;-) ) Have a nice day, Sevvy! /M |

This was a very powerful and moving chapter; probably the best you have written in this story so far in my opinion. To grieve for someone with such intensity must be an awful thing and no doubt the worst part of that grief is the thought of trying to move on and the guilt that acccompanies that. I really hope Severus feels he now can... :-)
Author's Response: Thank you for your praise, sevvy. Let's keep our fingers crossed for dear Severus. /M |

Oh, this is so sweet, you give us the basic of live. Love is eternal.
Maybe he can go further with his life, now.
Author's Response: Maybe he can, maybe he will ... at least, I have given him the opportunity. Let's see what he makes of it. Cheers. /M |

The power of love, eh? Not to mention understanding. Perhaps Eydis will start to see just what an amazing man her father really is and all the sacrifices he had to make for the role he had to play. Those Malfoys though; they never give up do they?! :-)
Author's Response: Need a baddie? Owl a Malfoy. I'm having tons of fun with them! Cheers. /M |

'Until the very end' sounds ominous - don't like the sound of that. You know you'll have to cross the whole of that last chapter out and re-write it if it's in any way likely to upset me (hehe)- I'm in desperate need of a happy ending here for dear Sev (someone's got to be protective of the poor man & you've given him a really hard time so far!) :-)
Author's Response: Define "happy ending", please. *ducks and hides* /M |

He's just such a drama queen at times isn't he?! Slamming doors just for the sake of it, black cloak dramatically billowing behind him! He really needs to lighten up for the sake of his daughter; I can't help but feel sorry for Eydis having SS as her head of house/deputy headmaster/potions master etc. all in one hit, when all she really wants is for him to be what he truly is - her father! Love the emotions the two of them continue to show regarding Cassandra; this continues to be so good :-)
Author's Response: Drama queen? Big one. Adorable, though ;-) But he will learn that he is a father first! Both he and Eydis need "family time". And Cassandra will always be there for the, until the very end (which I wrote yesterday, btw). Cheers. /M |

Sorry, M - don't know how this chapter managed to slip by me; I've just been so busy of late I didn't realise it was up! ...'I advise you to take off the Sorting Hat quickly should it put you into Gryffindor. Your father might just incinerate it'...Priceless! Hehe, can you imagine what would have happened if Eydis had been sorted into any house other than Slytherin?!...but, Gryffindor?! *shudders at the thought*! Love how you still continue to keep SS so Snape-ish! :-)
Author's Response: Yeah, how dare you? ;-) Don't worry, dear Sevvy. I will always wait for you. Glad you liked the chapter. It's a lot of fun writing snape-ish. Cheers. /M |
