Your English is still so much better than my German - which is non-existent! I'm so sorry to hear about your illness. I guessed, from reading your story, that you were probably someone who suffers from headaches yourself. You are right to make it obvious how horrible they are, migraines especially. It would be of no surprise to me that Severus would suffer them too - being such an 'uptight', stressed person, so you've definately kept him 'in character' from that point of view! I guess that there will be many other readers who empathize with such conditions and illness.

Author's Response: Yeah, it is easier to write about something you experienced yourself. I already have 3 more chapters written of this story but have to wait for my betas to check them. I hope you will read the coming chapters as well.

This is a really interesting start. It seems so different to most other stories - which is great! It grabbed my attention as I suffer from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, which unfortunately incorporates permanent vertigo and chronic tinnitus and frequent bad headaches and migraines (life is not a lot of fun most of the time!) So reading your description of Severus feeling so ill just sounded like a normal day for me but has had the advantage of making me want to read more! I guess the 'Pavlov Reflex' you talk about is along the lines of 'Pavlov's dogs' - where the dogs reacted every time a bell was rung? You would never guess from what you've written that English is not your first language, so really well done for this - I look forward to more!

Author's Response: Yes, I have heared of this illness. It's horrible. I also have a lot of headaches and I often feel sick because of my pills. I have a chronic kidney illness. Here in Germany we are calling it Pavlov's Reflex. Even if we are writting it Pawlow. I found it spelled like this in an online dictionary. And yes it is refering to the experiment with the dogs. I have two wonderful betas who correct my stories. If you would read the first and uncorrected versions, you would know that English isn't my first language.

A very nice first chapter. And I am looking forward to reading more.

And since I teach English as a foreign language, I am of course curious about your native language. You are doing a very good job. Cheers. /M

Author's Response: German is my native language. And my betas are doing a great job.
