Very nice! I thought it had said complete in the summary, so I was very relieved when I went back and checked and saw that it was the beginning of a work in progrss. I like the brogue, very few authors try to give her one but I'm sure that Minerva, as a true Scot, had a pronounced brogue. I think it makes her endearments and her worry about him more touching than her usual brisk manner and precise English does. I thought the Ministry would improve with Shacklebolt as Minister of Magic, he always seems to see things with clear eyes and logic, and takes a practical approach to problem solving. I guess it's too soon for him to have had all that much influence to bring about a real change. Hopefully things will improve. Author's Response: Ach, I didn't toggle it properly to complete when I posted - I apologize. But I have written more with this pairing, and it's in the Q. (and it has brogue!) Great story. Is this a stand alone or the beginning of something? I agree that Minerva would want to appologize and help him get back on his feet. I think she would enjoy putting one over on the Ministry, too. Author's Response: It was meant as stand-alone - I goofed up the toggle when posting, alas. 'Our Tetchy Boy', now that was just sweet. Looks like a lot of authors feel like McGonagall needs to make up for her behaviour during DH. I like your approach! Will there be more? /M Author's Response: This was meant as a one-shot (and somehow I managed to bollocks the complete/incomplete toggle), but the reaction to this has been very nice, and I will certainly be doing more with this pairing in the future!
