Author's Response: There was so much scope for double entendres in the subject matter that once I got going some of it wrote itself. I forgot to add in my disclaimer that the game goes essentially as in the book. I think the line about the game getting dirtier was actually something Harry was thinking. Couldn't really blame her after everything that happened in the past and present. Sirius was his self-assured self. Did he expect Emily to just cave and confess her undying love to him? The man's delusional. It must be the effect of all of those Death Eaters. I found Severus' responses interesting. How Black had turned him inward and how he became possessive of Emily. I don't believe it was a jealousy thing, per se, but it was understandable. Author's Response: Thanks! Sirius was trying to do anything to get out of the fix he was in, plus he probably hasn't been that close to a female in 13 years. So he was probably desperate and, um, desperate. Emily is not going to be sympathetic after everything everyone thought he had done, even with his explanations. I think Severus, in that situation, is going to be feeling as though the Marauders have "beaten" him, yet again. He had set such store by the possibility of seeing Sirius finally get what everyone thought he deserved. He is going to look for one thing he can count on, certainly a bit possessively. Well, I'm not sure Margo and Neville know they have a relationship, yet. I think some folks will figure stuff out, but of course, H/Hr/R have their own thing to be pretty absorbed with. I think he knew the people involved enough to realize it was one of those things that got out of hand. It makes his appointment even more understandable. Well, it will be interesting to see what happens now and if Sirius will contact Emily. I can't remember, she doesn't know his Animagus form, right? I remember she didn't when she and Severus first hooked up. I don't recall if she ever found out after that. Author's Response: It just seems kind of odd that the Ministry would just sort of ignore the fact that one of Sirius's best friends is out there. No one knew about the animagus forms until the end of PoA. I don't think Emily would have kept it from Severus and he would certainly have told the authorities.
