Sorry I haven't left a review for a while, but here it is now, lol. I just love this and keep wondering just where its all going. Like your other review Rose of the west I love the way Severus deals with Lucius on the matter of Lucretia. Not one to back down or be bullied is our Severus, and the way he tries not to lose face when Lucretia cornered him was great too. Looking forward to more.
Author's Response: Thanks so much, Titaniafey. He seems to have let himself be backed into another corner though, doesn't he? I'm glad you're enjoying it, and many thanks for your review, Scaranda

Oh! The plot thickens, indeed! Henry Potter of all people; I wonder how that came about? Meanwhile the whole interplay between Severus and Lucretia and between Severus and Lucius about Lucretia is delicious.
Author's Response: Thanks so much, Rose, and sorry for taking so long to respond. Glad you're still enjoying it, Scaranda.

Well that explains why the Potters don't travel in the same social circles as the Malfoys. That Henry is a cool one.
Author's Response: Indeed. I always thought it slightly odd that we knew virtually nothing of James Potter's parents in the books, and nothing at all to explain why James was portrayed as (to my mind) the spoilt boy with the overly inflated ego. More to come from the Potters, Rose, watch this space. Many thanks again.

Another great chapter. I'm waitng anxiously to see when Riddle pops up again, I think it will be sonner than Severus wants.
Author's Response: Oh, he's just about to pop up again, arcticvixen; you just can't keep a good psycho down. Thanks again for you support, Scaranda.

Yes, indeed, that Henry is a cool one. He's going to leave a few unanswered questions behind him, too.
Poor Severus, if he didn't have to admit he was marrying Lucretia right after Andromeda was mentioned, he would feel a whole lot better about things. I notice he hasn't told the lady yet, but she seems to feel safe in assuming pretty much whatever she wants.
Author's Response: And doesn't she just, Rose? A one to be reckoned with, is our Lucretia. I think she'll do well not to overestimate Severus's affections for her, or underestimate them elsewhere. As to Henry, I always thought there was a gaping void in James's family history in the books, and it's fun to pad him out a little. Thanks so much as always, Scaranda

He had a nice long run of staying out of trouble just from sheer cheek. It couldn't last forever. Is there nothing Ethyl can do?
Author's Response: I'm consulting with Ethel right now, Rose. Thanks again for your support, Scaranda.

Wow...just wow. Very powerfully done. I'm reminded of Obi Wan's death in Star Wars... I suspect that Ethyl will now somehow be able to do even more than before?
I'm a little worried that Severus didn't get a chance to tell Tom about his marriage plans. I suspect that's going to come back and bite...
Author's Response: Thanks, Rose, it was actually pretty difficult to write, trying to keep the two Ethels apart and still make sense. I suspect, as you say, it's all going to come back and bite Severus though. (By the way, Severus told Riddle about his marraige plans in the last chapter, when he presented the idea to him as though he were complying with Riddle's wish that he marry.) Thanks so much again, your comments often keep me on the straight and narrow! Scaranda.

There's almost a sweet turn to this chapter. I never thought I'd read a story where I was rooting for Narcissa and Lucius, for sure. And Lucretia, I have some theories about her, but I'll have to see what you do there.
Author's Response: Sweet? Hmmm, I think that's a first for me; I don't thnik I've even written anything sweet before. The Lucius and Narcissa bit just kind of came out of the blue actually, but they're fun to write. Thanks so much for staying with it and reviewing. Scaranda |

Dumbledores got a lot to answer for sometimes. I love the way Ethel deals with Lucius. Great chapter. thanks for sharing.
Author's Response: If she ever gets bored dealing with him, she can always sling him my way. Glad you're enjoying it. Many thanks for taking the time to read and review, Scaranda |

I love this. Great chapter. Seems that I've got a lot of catching up to do lol. A really dark feel to the story.
Author's Response: Glad you're enjoying it and I hope you stick with it. Many thanks for reading and reviewing, Scaranda |

I wonder who else thinks Lucretia is dead? That really changes things.
Author's Response: Changing all the time, Rose. In fact I'm finding it hard to keep up myself at times. Sigh. Many thanks again, Scaranda |
