Very much enjoyed this story. Snape suffering from amnesia, what a great idea for a story. You describe very nicely his journey of healing, both through revisiting those painful memories and opening himself to another human being. |

Really enjoyed reading this. It was so original and well written. I probably would have liked it even if I wasn't a Snape fan. You're very talented. |

Now that the swimming events are all finished and Michael Phelps won all 8 gold medals I have time to get back to reading fan fic. I reread this whole story this evening and enjoyed it just as much as I did the first time. I was confused before I started reading tonight because there are 18 chapters at ff.net and 16 here, but I think your editing and combining chapters has made the story better. I always love it when Snape gets to survive and find some happiness and you provided that for him here. I had a lot of fun picturing him looking at himself in the mirror in his polyjuiced form as Jemima; he must have looked a lot better that way than when he appeared as Neville's boggart. |

MORE! please?
I'm loving how he's evolving so far; much less repression, healing, growing. It's fantastic. Everything his character deserved and never got. |

Aw Shez, that was beautiful! I think you have Snape so wonderfully pegged. You write him so well! And this was a wonderful end, so much more fitting then the one in the book. I think Jemima is perfect for him and it sounds like they will have a happy life together. Lovely story! |

So now his memories are complete and the healing may begin -- and the saga continues. Snape is definitely needed in his world. And in snakeskin boots as well ;) |

Chapter 16: Oooh, what a grand insight. Snape never really developed emotionally before he died. I love that view. And the idea that by the final battle, Snape would really almost welcome death. That rings so true. Plus his reasons for ridding himself of his memories. Brilliant! Snape's decision to enter the magic world to basically clean it up and prevent another decimating occurrence of ignorant racism, then going home at night to Jemima is the best for both of them. He needs to find some recurring separation from the wizarding world in his life to stay sane and she needs to stay comfortable in her world. They'll be good for each other. His simple "Yes" was vintage Snape, but very sincere and loving. Great story, with so many excellent details that relate to canon and expand it, I can't recount them all. But that makes the best kind of story. This was wonderful. |

I'm still not sure I understand how Harry only saw some memories while holding them all, but I love the way things unfolded.
I like how looking at the memories externally, so to speak, allowed him to reconsider his life from an adult perspective.
Very nice.
Author's Response: Thanks, Rose. I did make up some nonsense about Snape putting a time-sensitive Concealing Charm on the memories that weren't relevant to Harry, but I don't think anything like that exists in canon. Glad you enjoyed it. |
