Reviews for A Kind Of Magic

Rose of the West 2008.09.16 - 04:06PM 30: Chapter 30 Signed
Well, she has an idea of how to proceed, now. I wonder what the Old Meddler will tell Severus to do.

Author's Response: He's such a stickybeak. As always with Albus, you're never sure whether his intentions are totally innocent or not...

She's going to need that luck after the old SOB caused the whole problem. He's dead, you'd think that would keep him from meddling with other people's lives. At least he admitted that he was the one to blame. I think she should make a detour to the dungeons on her way to the library and try to get Severus to talk to her. Of course, she could always wait until he was so extremely horny that he couldn't resist her. I'm pretty sure that approach would work, especially if she learned a spell that would make impossible to masturbate for relief and cast it on him. That's something else she could reasearch in the library.

Author's Response: LOL, you can't wait for the next bit of smut can you Trickie my dear? I hope it will be worth the wait :)

Why can't anybody ever be angry with Dumbledore?! I am very curious now how she is going to make Severus talk to her again. Nice chapter, as usual. /M

Author's Response: Most kind, as always! x

I had a feeling that she would end up in a private chat with Albus's portrait. AS I said they need a mediator, or actually she needs some explanations about Severus's former life before they talk to each other again. Also, Albus must tell her that he is the one responsible for Severus decision to confront his memories in that pensieve. I still think therapy is better than a pensieve. There must be trained counselors at St Mungo's, I'm sure they are desparately needed since the war. Of course, they must be completely trustworthy. The best thing would be if they were Legillimens and were bound to be Obliviated by the staff Obliviator after each session. That way a patient can talk out their problems with their past and know that it would go no further. If I were one of those therapists, I'd offer the patient a flask at the end of each session to place the memories in and then let the patient take it with them to do with what they preferred, destroy or keep. There must be some kind of spell that would allow people to destroy the memories if that's what they prefer. The victims of evil would prefer that, I'm sure, than having those memories haunt them the rest of their lives.

Author's Response: Right on both counts, Tricky. Snape would never go into therapy though, he's far too private for that. Plus I think he'd draw his Occlumency round him like a shroud, and no-one would be able to get near without getting severely hexed!

There are few things that are as irritating than two intelligent persons who do not know how to TALK! Grrr!

Author's Response: Lol! Well, not an easy topic to broach, especially with Mr Cactus himself!

The first meeting was bound to be awkward... I'm glad that's out of the way.

Author's Response: Me too. It has to get better... Doesn't it?

Ummm... not to be rude, but where's the rest? You're not, you're not just going to leave us there are you? Because... that's just mean. That's just really mean! You are going to finish... right? Please?

Author's Response: Lol, thank you for your concern! I certainly will be finishing, there's plenty more to come from these two yet. Thanks for your patience, and for coming this far! x

This story just gets better and better! I'm now really intrigued to find out what (or who?) brings them back together - please say that will happen! Looking forward to the next chapters....

Author's Response: Thank you so much! As much as we love Severus, he is such a paradox; so much good and so much bad all wrapped up in a delicious enigma. As juniperus said in the wonderful story "Mentor," Severus is his own Dementor, but at the same time, the fact he is tormented by guilt and disgust only reveals how much good is within him. I hope the next chapters do not disappoint. Much thanks for sticking with it x

Well, that's getting straight to the point.

Author's Response: No beating around the bush there eh? lol

Why would I stop reading? I love this story. It shows the side of Severus I like the best. /M

Author's Response: That's huge praise, thank you :)
