Well done. I can see that being precisely what his last year was like and it is so...Luna to see through the facade. Love your usern btw, I used bluestockinglit for quite some time and I was born in 79. Great minds...

Author's Response: Thank you!

Author's Response: Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed. I think that if anybody would be likely to see past the facade, Luna would be the one. And glad you like the username! Great minds must indeed think alike. ;-)

This was amazing! You totally captured Snape and Luna. Just so right-on! I could feel his rawness and discomfort. I absolutely love a well-crafted one-shot. This story is one of the best I've read.

Author's Response: ~blushes~ Thank you very much! I'm delighted that you enjoyed the story and felt that it was true to the characters. I've been fascinated by what it must have been like at Hogwarts during Snape's tenure as Headmaster, and I think that if anybody would have been able to see what was really going on, it would be Luna.

Nah, Luna is so cute. And I absolutely love this line: 'They were meant to hate him, after all. It was his function. He was good at it.' Smart. /M

Author's Response: Thank you very much! I'm so glad that you enjoyed the story. Luna is an amazing character, isn't she?

Yes, I imagine she did see straight through his act. Luna has a way of doing that, and I think you're right that it would terrify him.

Author's Response: Thank you. For all her apparent daftness, Luna is extremely perceptive, and she's not fooled by appearances. I think if anybody would be likely to figure Severus out, it would be her. Of course, he couldn't tolerate anything that might cause him to realize how unjust the position he's been placed in is--that would make it unbearable.

Very nicely set up and woven. Both characters are completely believable.

Author's Response: Thank you very much! I'm so glad you enjoyed the story and felt they were both in character.

Beautifully woven and intense - and somehow I imagine Movie-Luna, simply because that young, interesting actress does such a good job portraying her. And Snape is wonderfully spot on - bravo! Cúthalion

Author's Response: Thank you very much! I'm delighted you enjoyed this and found them both in character. Evanna Lynch (movie Luna) is so incredibly close to the way I've always seen Luna that I always picture her as well.

this was really lovely. i love stories where luna's nuttiness belies her perceptiveness. very poignant look at the plight of our potions master during that difficult year.

Author's Response: Thank you very much! I'm so glad you enjoyed this. I think Luna's daft mannerisms do hide a very keen and sensitive mind--she's not a Ravenclaw for nothing. She sees things that the others often don't.
