Wonderful chapter! I thought that his loss of memory might be from that night he gave his memories to Harry. I think it is brilliant that you used that as a spring board for this story! |

I'm checking this story every day. I adore this idea and your Jemima too. First time I find someone named Jemima to be a nice person in literature. ;)
Author's Response: Ha ha, yes, there aren't many sympathetic Jemimas around, are there? Thanks very much for your words of support. |

“And every spare bed in Edinburgh will be taken with the festival on. Except mine. Stay at mine tonight.” LOL!!!
Yes I can honestly say I think all of us would like to offer that to Snape!
Obviously Jemima doesn’t want our lovely Potions Professor out of her sight. I think Snape is rather fond of her too, or he would have obliterated her by now, just like Pansy. So now that he is staying with her, I am wondering what he will make of her place and her muggle appliances. This story is just merrily cruising along isn’t it?
Anyway, lovely job as always Shez!
Author's Response: Oh yes, I'd say Jemima was quite hooked now. Can't exactly blame her! |

Oh, this just gets better and better. I love how your story dovetails with canon, but goes beyond the 'death' to a much more plausible explanation. JKR missed a wonderful plot point there.
So it was Pansy Parkinson who fills Snape in on his past, what there was of it that she knew. His next stop will be Harry I suppose. How did he know how to obliviate Pansy? Was that part of his basic knowledge, like eating, drinking, walking?
Poor Jemima, clutching at straws to keep Snape just a little longer. Does she have what it takes to make him sit up and really see her for a possible match? WOULD she be a match for him? She seems kind of weak to be standing up to his steely personality. I guess I have to wait and see. But at least Snape is moving forward into his future. Yay!
Great chapter. I liked it a lot!!
Author's Response: I think amnesiacs are often able to things like reading, writing, even driving - so I'd say magic was in that category of stuff that has become second-nature to Snape. Without his memories, I see Severus as being a little mellower - though no less formidable - and more open to a relationship. |
