| I had read this before (just don't know why I didn't review at the time); it shows a completely different side to your writing talents (are there no end to them?!) It was really poignant and sad. Severus' story just breaks my heart... Author's Response: this is the first fanfic i ever wrote, for my original doomed ship, snily. it's still one of my favorite things i've written. severus's story breaking my heart is why i started reading, and eventually writing, fanfic. this story was my attempt to come to terms with the heartbreak i felt upon reading the prince's tale in dh. | |||

| Poor Severus! That made me sad. Author's Response: poor severus, indeed! i found the whole unrequited love storyline in dh to be quite tragic, and this was my attempt to come to grips with it. so yeah, it is sad. Author's Response: i forgot to say, thanks for reviewing! i appreciate it. | |||

| A moving piece. I especially liked the restrained dialogue between them, leaving out all they were feeling but wouldn't say. Author's Response: thank you so much! to be honest, i think part of the reason for the 'restrained dialogue' had to do with the fact that this was my first fanfic, and i was kind of terrified of putting words into these characters mouths, but i think it worked pretty well in this piece, and i'm glad you agreed. thanks for reviewing. | |||
