| Things are moving along beautifully. I love the fact that Fawkes has made an appearance and the hot chocolate was a nice touch, too. I tend to pick out small things when I read, but they are the things that stick out to me most when remembering the mood of the story. Very nice work. . . Author's Response: I adore Fawkes and couldn't resist the opportunity to include him. When I write I tend to visualise the scene in my mind and then try to describe it how I see it. | Well, they seem to have at the very least called a truce! That's an interesting Vow Contessa took- very involved, and a bit risky. I wonder why Dumbledore wanted such a detailed Vow? Wouldn't she die if something happened to Severus while he was out with the Death Eaters? Or does it only apply to keeping him safe from the Order? Anyhow, lovely story, can't wait for the next chapter! Author's Response: I would love to answer your questions, but if I did it would give a lot of the story away. So, my apologies! ps I could be wrong, but about the phrase "Snape strode down the hall, past the elephant’s foot umbrella stand", well, wasn't it a troll's foot? I can't access to the lexicon in this moment, so I can't control, but... Author's Response: Thank you for your positive comments, and you are absolutely right, it was actually a troll's leg umbrella stand. I wrote the first few chapters on holiday and didn't have the books with me, and didn't think to check it upon my return. Anyway, I have amended the text now. Cheers! | |||

| So Dumbledore is still manipulating people even though he is dead? I can't wait to see how Contessa and Severus interact after that conversation with Dumbledore!
