There's a long way for me to go yet, but I do find it a bit difficult to accept that it could be this easy for Severus, given his appalling background. He could only ever do it with the benefit of hindsight, but that takes away much of the internal wrestling that would have gone on. But I can only wait and see what else is to come ... Author's Response: You'll find (hopefully) that this new life for Severus is anything but easy.

Strange how something that sweet can be so sad at the same time. Somehow, I have a hard time imagining this story to have a happy ending. But the again, I am a pessimist.
