Reviews for Morgaine's Story

celestialrain 2008.08.22 - 07:42AM 6: VI: Look at Me Signed
Still enjoying this story. It just reads so smoothly. I've always been intrigued with the ideas of occlumency and legilimency. Concepts that would be fun to mess around with. Just a comment about the book, 'The Mists of Avalon'. That book is my favorite book of all time. I have read it a couple of times and no book has ever come close to grabbing me like it has. Just an amazing story and an unequaled author.

Author's Response: I completely agree with you about 'The Mistst of Avalon'. It is my all time favourite as well. I've read it once every summer since I was nineteen. Thanks for reading and leaving a note. Cheers. /M

I also had the chapters mixed up and put that last comment in with chapter 6 rather than with chapter 5 where it belongs. i'm sure there will be some very interesting things he will find in her mind and she in his when he starts teaching her Occlumency. Since Dumbledore is so Machiavellian and such a puppet master I think Severus was right not to tell him everything he had perceived about Morgaine.

Author's Response: I agree with you about Dumbledore. I started to dislike him in GoF, he uses people. Unfortunately, people trust him anyway.

I got one thing wrong in my review, she's not 11, she's 14. but i still say she's very perceptive for her age, even with her powers and her background.

Author's Response: Hi Trickie Woo. Well, one would get quite perceptive to a person who is wandering around in one's head, wouldn't one? But yes, you are right, Morgaine is very perceptive for her age. You will learn why later. Thank you for reviewing.

This is actually pretty enjoyable. However, Morgaine seems like a Mary-Sue to me, and Snape seems slightly ooc. These things can be remedied, no need to fret. I really like this though, and I await the next chapter. By the way, do you happen to be a fan of The Mists of Avalon? Because you write in the same style. Where Morgaine speaks, plus I normally see her name spelled Morgan or Morgana, or Morgan La Fay. It was an amazing book, my favorite by far.

Author's Response: Dear Savvy0X, thank you for reviewing. Let me answer your questions. *Yes, I did enjoy 'Mists of Avolon'. But the name Morgaine has been in my head long before that as my mother is a big fan of Morgaine leFey. *The 'diary' style was the idea of a friend of mine. At first, the story was written entirely from Morgaine's point of view and that was just awful. So I shifted the point of view put still let Morgaine talk. *Mary-Sue: do not all OC have some Mary-Sue in them? *Snape ooc? Well, I do try to show that there is an actually human being under his hard armour. I hope you'll stick with the story, despite the Mary-Sue and the ooc Snape. And, please, review again, I love to learn.

Hi luv! Have you disappeared from cyber space? Gimme more, I beg you! I'm very curious to know more about Morgaine's talents.

Author's Response: Be patient, my friend. My beta is writing her finals. We will be back shortly... I hope.
