I don't know how I feel about Snape's hand being forced in this instance (rather than having to make a decision himself). Hm... |

I love the way this has evolved, the 16 tons that was hovering over his head is gone and he is free of his impending obligation. Now you must make him see that if you love someone you will never really cross that rubicon. I thought of Gash as a nice man before, but he is also very honorable and a very loving father. I like him and feel that he is an excellent friend for Severus to have. I knew who his mistress was the instant he said "my Mistress". I liked her when she went to the cottage to check him out and I like her more now. I suspect that after a bit more angst that it will be a plot between Gash, Eva, and Lupin that will bring Severus and Jane back together and give us all the happy ending we've all been waiting for. |

What an intersting turn of events. That will teach Snape to undervalue true love. Is that tasting menu made up or is it from a real restuarant? It sounds outrageious enough to be real. I look forward to the next chapter. |

I liked Gash and am glad to see that he's as decent a man as he appeared earlier. I'm also thrilled by this admission of Snape's: "The blame, Roland, is my own.”
That's the first in the 10-step program of Becoming Less of an Idiot. |
