| Your story is truly beautiful! There was so much emotion and the way you built up the relationship between Mary and Snape was so subtle it seemed so natural they really got together in the end. Lovely.

| I am relatively new to 'fan fiction' but, inspired by my great love of Severus (and, most especially, the gorgeous Mr. Rickman) have gradually been working my way through all the stories on this site during the last few months. I thought you would like to know that (even on a second reading) yours is still the only one to really make me cry! It's just so beautiful and, despite the sensitive subject matter, is so tender. As a 'wounded soul' myself, I long for someone like Severus (although my husband is wonderful in so many ways)and I'm glad someone has seen the opportunity to bring out that deep, sensitive side of this complex, sad character instead of the usual scathing, angry Potions Master - only up for a 'quickie' with a willing, submissive student - thus giving this lovely story such depth. Thank you for creating such true beauty. Author's Response: Thank you. I knew when I read in DH how he cried over reading Lily's letter to Sirius and her picture that there exists a gentle and tender side to this man. | i thought this was a really beautiful story (all of the chapters). i think something snapped in me when i read it--everyone deserves to have such a patient, attentive, loving partner like severus.
