Interesting and unfortuantely very plausible. Severus definately wasn't an angel was he?
Author's Response: No, Snape was definitely malevolent. On the other hand: look more closely. His threat may well have succeeded in doing what Dumbledore could not: keeping a dangerous werewolf confined. Lupin says in POA that there were "many" close calls when the Marauders let him out to play: Severus may very well have kept Remus from becoming a murderer, and the other Marauders accomplices to murder. For all the wrong reasons. No wonder James and Sirius attacked him after the OWLs! |

Outsch, that one hurt!
Author's Response: Hurt? But he hasn't done a thing... yet. And he can't do a thing, unless they let Lupin out again. Then he's fair game. This came about when I started wondering if there might be a specific reason why JAMES would want to torture SEVERUS after the werewolf caper. |
