Reviews for Wolf's Moon

halloweenbaby 2008.05.06 - 06:16PM 12: Of Lies And Of Truth Signed
Was well worth the wait. I'm glad you show her as flawed - although what she did to Remus was a bit more than flawed. And the prejudice Ruta's (ex)employer shows is insidious; firing someone because of an illness - evil. Hopefully, she and Snape will indeed find love - he, god knows, has earned it.

Author's Response: You're right, what she did was incredibly silly, but it explains a lot: why she never tried to find a career or glory of any kind (because she didn't think she deserved it), why she buried herself in the Lake District, her only aim to care for Remus's son... it's her personal crusade of penitence, and this is certainly something Snape would understand. And firing someone because of an illness? Oh yes... but there are parallels, aren't there? Thank you very much for reviewing!

This chapter was worth waiting for, as usual. I had a feeling the Ruta had bedded Remus but I didn't think that she would have tried to trick him like that. And now, I am very much looking forward to find out how Ruta's and Seeker's relationship will develop. Take your time writing, I'll be here, waiting becasue I know it will be worth it. /M

Author's Response: Thank you, dear. I'll do my very best - and I thought it would be important to show that Ruta is not flawless. There must be something in her heart Snape/Seeker can relate to... it's the key to what might become a real love story. Cúthalion

It was worth to give this story a little time of, and then get back and read several chapters at once. It's a real treat. Your writing has a novel-like quality to it, transitions between chapters are smooth and well executed. This is something that doesn't always hold true for writers who post their story on the go, especially if there's a longer waiting period between updates. When one sits to read a few chapters at once, it shows. In your case, however, good planing and plainly good writing skills are evident. I probably won't be around for a while, and I'm hoping for the rest of these chapters from your beta when I'm back. Good luck, and thank you for quality reading.

Author's Response: My goodness, thank you. I'm very glad that you enjoy this so much; and I guess a part of this tale's quality I owe to my beta - who is very stern with me and makes me rewrite literally everything that doesn't fit. And at the same time she's a brilliant writer with a chronic lack of time (which doesn't make things easier). But I'll continue this as fast as I can. Thank you very much! Cúthalion

I am so glad to see an update. This chapter was well done. I thought the reactions of her family was honest and spoke volumes about the situation. I am so glad that "Seeker" is there to help her and I can't wait to see how that relationship developes. I look forward to more!

Author's Response: *sighs* I'm sorry that this takes me so long, but I have a very busy beta. But anyway... 14 of the 15 chapters are already written, and all you have to do is to... erh... wait. Thank you so much! Cúthalion

Thank you for the wonderful story so far. I've found myself laughing aloud quite a few times. Looking forward to the rest. Five chapters! (rubs hands) Can't wait!

Author's Response: Thank you! I'll do my very best to give you another laugh or two, though there might also be some drama here and there. *grins* Cúthalion

Ah, a new chapter, the waiting has certainly paid off. I start to imagine a couple of happy-endings here. Looking forward to the next chapter. Thank you for sharing.

Author's Response: And thank you for waiting so patiently! There are still five chapters to come... Cúthalion

VERY good! I like the way that this is going. I apologize that I haven't been around - grad school is absolutely insane. Thanks very much

Author's Response: And thank YOU, again. I should apologize that this is going in such a slow pace... but this tale is getting more and more intricate with each chapter, and my beta is a very busy woman. Cúthalion

I can see all the threads untangling and weaving themselves together now, Neville and Hannah, Neville and Snape, Harry and Snape, and Snape and Ruta. I've been looking for this update for a while now and it looks to me as if you a very near the end of the story. I hope you are headed toward the happy ending that I see in my mind.

Author's Response: Ah - but there are still five chapters and a bit waiting in the line *smiles*... though we're certainly heading towards some sort of conclusion. Thank you very much! Cúthalion

I have ideas about Ruta, but I won't go into them here :). Silly Harry. I thought he'd try to revert. Just because he was able to try to view Snape for who he is when he thought the man was dead and not around anymore doesn't mean his emotions are changed in the presence of said fellow. I'm sure they'll work on it. ;)

Author's Response: They'll have to. And if you wait just a little, I will give you MY personal ideas about Ruta, in the next chapter. *smiles* Cúthalion
