I'm pleased that the story will have more chapters than originally planned. I've grown very fond of Ruta and her 'Stephen Seeker' and you are now giving more to read about them.
Author's Response: Thank you! *smiles* I have grown very fond of them, too. Cúthalion |

I can only say that if the ghastly Vicky tries to pull any stunts with Severus Snape, she will come off the worse. I will trust in that thought until the next chapter comes up.
Author's Response: It is certainly not a wise idea to come in the way of Severus Snape; you may believe that this will be a grim fight. *smiles* Thank you! Cúthalion |

That was really well done - both of them coming to a clear realisation of theirr needs and what they each have to offer the other. It was a very gentle chapter, regardless of the fact that Ruta was a wolf.
Author's Response: It was meant to be a gentle chapter; I am glad that I succeeded! Thank you very much! Cúthalion |

Oh, bad Vicky. Don't you dare interfere. Ruta and Stephen certainly deserve some happiness. I simply adore you story! Danke schön! /M
Author's Response: Bittesehr! Just wait - I see the end of the road now and there's only one chapter left to write, but we will have 18 in the end instead of 15. I hope you can live with that. *wicked grin* Cúthalion |

I did so want them to verbally confirm to each other that the night they just spent with each other will not be the last, but the first of many. I know they both know that in their hearts, but I also know how insecure they both are. I'm sure that it all be taken care of as soon as he takes care of the problem posed by the awful Vicky Stone.
Author's Response: It's not so easy, you know. If they were younger - and not so burdened with their difficult past - words would flow more freely. (Btw. - after my muse forsake me for weeks, she finally agreed to come back last week - that silly thing - and gave me enough stuff for three chapters. One more chapter has still to be written, and I hope you can live with the thought that this story will have 18 chapters in the end (not fifteen, as planned). I'm just getting used to the thought. *grins* Thank you very much for your review, and for still sticking with me on this crazy roller coaster ride! Cúthalion |

That was truly fantastic; excellent and original writing and in keeping with his character.
Author's Response: Thank you so very much - this was one of the most important things for me - to develop Snape from the man to the man he perhaps moght have been, had the circumstances been different. I'm always very happy if a reader feels that I have reached my aim. Cúthalion
Author's Response: Oh - and of course I meant to develop Snape from the man he was to the one he perhaps might have been. Note to self: never answer any reviews before you had your first coffee. *blushes* Cuthalion |

Well, that was a surprise - Ruta being so devious, and so - yes, pitiable.
I also have a feeling she won't be
seeing Fionula's daughter again either -children see, children do. Well, it can only go forward for Severus and Ruta now, however slow that journey may be. I spend most of my time on Ashwinder, but whenever I remember to come here, I come straight to your story, and it's always worthwhile.
Author's Response: Sorry that I'm so late! Yes, to see that my heroine is a flawed character may be surprising, but I was never interested in the Mary Sue-kind of love interest for Severus Snape. And as it has turned out meanwhile (and after a huge fit of writing), the tale will have 18 chapters instead of fifteen, and only one has yet to be written. I actually see the end of the tunnel - hooray! Thank you for being still here with me on that long hike! Cúthalion |

I am so enjoying this story - the excellent characterization, the careful attention to detail, the steady and sure development of Ruta and Stephen's relationship. Stephen to me is a very realistic evolution of Severus. For Stephen/Severus to be able to enter the room where the wolf was, scarred as he was by the prank with "Remus/werewolf" at Hogwarts, and then to be able to acknowledge Ruta as the wolf, exemplified to me the tremendous growth your character has experienced. And Ruta was affirmed at a time when she must have been feeling most vulnerable and unwanted. This came across as a very healing chapter.
Author's Response: Wow. I must admit that I didn't think about Sirius' nasty prank when I wrote that scene - but of course you're right. And it makes me very happy that you see this as a "healing" chapter... for this is what is was meant to be. Thank you so very much!

I know I reviewed this on FF.net, but I wantd to put one here for consistency's sake and tell you once againg how special this chapter is. I have alerted all the friends I know that read it that you have updated and I know I got at least one more new reader for the story.
Author's Response: You're really sweet. *huge smile* And btw, - this chapter is special for me, too.
