This was the first fanfic I ever read. So I am really pleased I found it again and it will always have a special place in my heart.
I remember finishing DH and being left wanting. This story filled one of the gaps and was immensely satisfying to read. |

One of my favourite Snape centric stories. It's so realistic, it could easily have been a scene in the book, one of the many unfortunately left out. |

I agree that this should have been with the memories Harry saw! This is an intriguing portrait of both Snape and Dumbledore. I particularly liked Snape's vunerability - the way he admits that he does care about what his collegues think, how he rails at Dumbledore for being manipulative. Great stuff! |

WOW with a capital "W"! What a great story. This scene should have been included in Snapes memories in cannon! You have the emotions down so very well. I think I will print this out and insert it into my book ! |

“Not expendable, no, but perhaps already damaged and a little more…appropriate.”

Thanks for posting this over here--I liked it before, and it is well worth re-reading. Very nicely done. |
