I like how you tell how Severus picks and uses the defenses in his mind, and how Voldemort is in this story, especially in the Mudblood/Pureblood talk, and how you use the firelight to heighten it. And the use of the word "worthy", as it comes up again shortly before Voldy's death. | |||

| Poor Severus; he tried so hard but he was far too late. The backstory you managed to weave into a short piece was nicely done, and Voldemort here is what I imagine to be realistic - sometimes he's written far too dramatically! | |||
