Reviews for The Afterlife

Because 2007.09.09 - 01:35AM 1: Chapter 1 Signed
'Did everyone get treated this way?' - awwww...poor, dear Sev. He's had a hard life, hasn't he? So far so good...onto the next chap!

Author's Response: It wasn't until DH that I actually began to like Severus as a character. I hated the book and how JK treated him. I just wanted to give him the closure he deserves. Thanks for the review!

I got here through the HPFF forums...and I can see that you do indeed give closure to Snape. I always wondered what would happen in Heaven to him. And you have Snape's dialogue down so well! He seems to be so lost when it comes to Lucian, and dealing with death and that his love for Lily was just friendship! Great going...I love it!

Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review. Seems the person who posted my story over there at HPFF got kicked off, much like I did over a year ago. They haven't changed at all. I do appreciate your review. And truthfully, I must thank the person who recommended my story with helping me with Severus' dialogue. I've always had trouble with him, but she was very helpful. I'm glad you enjoy the story. The final chapter should be up soon. Thanks again!

"For someone who knew nothing about caring, he surely knew how to sweep a woman off her feet." LoL. Wonderful to know that our angel is all-too-human. That was a wonderfully quick update. Incredibly sweet of Severus to leave a gift behind as well, and not bad that he's quite quick on the uptake too! I love the little peeks we get into how Lucian sees him - in all his ferocious frozen beauty.

Author's Response: Thanks, Elizabeth. I appreciate your review very much. Only one chapter left. I hope you enjoy the ending!

This is getting better and better...Lucian being an angel...did you plan her being his polar opposite looks wise? Where's Lucian gone anyway? And when's she coming back? Bring on the update!

Author's Response: You'll find out soon enough. :) Not much left, but I hope you will like the ending. Thanks again!

Got here through the hpff forums. Heard this story was great! And sure enough it is...update soon! I love your Snape! Finally in death he's getting the love he so deserved!

Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review. I'm glad you are enjoying the story. I would really love to know who recommended me.

I cam here through a recommendation on the HPFF forums, and I can see the person has not been mistaken! Sometimes Severus does need a bit of fluff, and what better place for it than the afterlife? Yay, I'm going to read on!

Author's Response: Thanks, Miss_Black. I am extremely curious to know who has recommended me over there. That's quite a shock. I'm glad you are enjoy the story.

This is a really interesting take on Severus' afterlife: bringing his relationship with his guardian to the forefront. Lucien is refreshingly different from my idea of a guardian angel: she isn't all-wise and all-knowing, and she does have her own desires especially with regard to Severus. She obviously loves Severus, and wants him as a companian, and it's wonderful that Severus realises this and is able to not take her for granted. I'm eager to see how you handle Lucien's background and their relationship in the next few chapters. Was Lucien human at one point of time? She does mention that she was 18 when called, which gave me that impression. How much or how often is Lucien allowed to choose? What were her first impressions of "the Potions Master", considering she "grew to care for him"? Does this indicate that her feelings for him had changed over time - a man she "disliked" finally turning into a man she now loves? All I can say right now, is that you're being very cruel right now, merely whetting my apetite.

Author's Response: Thanks so much for the HUGE review, Elizabeth. Wow... I don't know how many of your questions will be answered, but probably not a lot, but that's because the story is pretty much from Severus' point of view. Though, depending on the reception of this story, I might can be conned into writing more about them, give more of her background. I am so very glad you like it. Thanks!

Hey! Here you are! I'm so glad I've found you here and you know why. I like this little story. It begins very sweetly and finally brings poor Severus in a place in which everything is new and where he has to completely "revise" his way of thinking. Like a newborn. Only a little comment: Lucian doesn't exactly mean Light Bringer. This is Lucipher. Lucian is only "connected to the light", but it doesn't really matter, only my mania for names and meanings. Hope to see an update soon! Me - I'll write you more, this is only a ciao!

Author's Response: Thanks, Mep. :) I'm happy you like the story. It's still the last, though. Connected to the light works, too, and I probably just found a definition that was similar. Hope to hear from you soon!

So far, the start is interesting. Hopefully your will update soon.

Author's Response: *squee* My first review! Thanks so much, and I will be updating a new chapter soon. Who knows how long it will take in the queue. Hopefully not too long. I really appreciate the review!
