| I really liked this story. I read it a long time ago and just re-read it today. You really understand Severus' beginning. Your description over the money is so true and sad. I also believe that he would spend the money left over to see Lily. She was that dear to him. Thank you for this glimpse into Severus' life. Bravo! Author's Response: Thank you! JKR did a fantastic job showing us in one scene how poor he was, when he was hanging upside in his dingy underwear - all I did was fill in the lines. And I'm glad that Lily's parents turned out to be as excited about the wizarding world as I thought that they'd be. It's very nice to know that the story was worth your re-reading it! | |||

| This was very enjoyable! I had completely missed the bit about Petunia having mentioned Snape in Order of the Phoenix. I haven't yet seen the movie so I don't know if that scene is even in it. Great job guessing!
I assume that by now you've read Deathly Hallows. I would love to see you do more stories on Snape and Lily as children (I will have to search the site to see if you've done more-- I only just discovered this site a few minutes ago).
I imagine that despite Petunia's dislike of Snape, it was probably nicer being at Lily's house than at his own. Author's Response: Welcome to Sychophant Hex! Petunia never mentioned Snape by name, but he was the only one of the teen-characters whom I would describe as "awful" (other writers have guessed James or Sirius). I'm sure that the Evans family would have been kind to the boy (Petunia excluded, of course). In the SH archives, I have another Petunia story in my collection at "Lumos", and Snape as a student at "Chaos". I also have a story at "Pureblood". Thank you for your kind review! :) | |||

| I really liked this little peek into Severus' young teen life! I liked how you made him a very responsible boy because of his situation. It is so amazing how adversity can push a person into maturity or emotional/responsible growth. I liked how this was played out here. I would have expected that of him. Great job.
