Reviews for Metanoia: The Conversion of Severus Snape

Rwhen/Julia 2007.05.04 - 03:10PM 5: In Over His Head Anonymous
YAY for you, this was great. A super device for AD to catch Snape like that. Humm, wonder how he gets the job? I have a thought. :D I also like the "What?" by LV...that was a smile for sure. Well done again.

Author's Response: Well, we know he gets it eventually, right? Hehe, that scene was actually the first one I wrote, so I knew where it was headed before I wrote him getting caught red-handed. This is probably the only scene I wrote that is actually described in canon. I kept some of the details the same, but Dumbledore's conversation with Trewlaney does *not* match what he told Harry. Oh well, close enough for me ;).

BTW I forgot to mention that I thought your description of Severus's potions work was brilliant. I really enjoyed reading about him working on that potion, as well as that other that prevents snake bite poisoning. Very impressive work!

Author's Response: Thanks! That is high praise. But I must admit to a degree in chemical engineering, so I think I "get" potions-making, apart from the magical ingredients bit ;).

I laughed when Voldy went "What?!" BTW Regulus would have been dead by now, I'm not sure if you worked that into the story.

Author's Response: Hehe, glad it was good for a laugh. I just thought it was funny he was taking something Trewlaney said so seriously....but then, he never met her ;). As for Regulus - my backstory for him does not make any attempt to be canon. I assume JKR will tell us more about him in DH, making moot whatever I wrote anyway. So, I just used him however I liked (which meant keeping him alive a bit longer yet).
