Okay, great. They are a mean bunch you have created here. It is interesting to read of these characters in a more adult fashion...meaning so much of JKR is all about the schooling years, with most the adults being professors. I love it, Mith. I am beginning to believe that this is the REAL back story for Snape and that is quite a compliment.
Author's Response: Quite the compliment, indeed! Thank you muchly, Rwhen! Though we'll see if details JKR reveals in the last book will negate some of this. There is no way to escape it - Death Eaters are not nice people. The children who appear in this chapter will eventually face Snape as students, but I agree that my tone is very different since they are minor characters only. When I do shift point of view, it is to another adult, with one exception. |

This is one of the most in-character I have read Snape in. Very surly and intelligent, and I really enjoy stories that give insight into what the years during the war could have been like.
Author's Response: Thanks for your kind words, pudella! I tried very hard to keep Snape "Snape," even though he is younger, so I am so glad to see you think I pulled it off. *grin* I think it may have been easier because this story has no romance to speak of. |
